Say hello to the Longines Railroad, a watch based on "railroad grade" watches made for the rail service in the 1960s. 1 OF 4 Above, you can see the original Longines railroad pocket watch from the 1960s. The number 280 on the dial refers to the Longines hand-wound caliber 280, an in-house, high grade movement suitable for the demands of usage in the rail service. I was going to keep this on the down low for a while but I am so excited about my new purchase that I can hardly contain myself. Thanks to DavidSW for this magnificent piece. Hand delivered to my folks in Orlando (They got back from a 2 month stay in FL yesterday) and I picked this beauty up last night after work.Count me in on the AP Owners list!If you're wondering what I did before that I did it again, I just bought my first Panerai about a month ago from drgross/dra144. Thanks to my wonderful wife who is soooooooo understanding about my obsessions (watches and cars).
Which speed master to get?
Hi allI'm considering getting a speed masterI have a Rolex currently which I will keep and have been eyeing up the speed master for some time now. I like the clear caseback and the whole idea and history of the moon watch holds appeal also. The traditional simple iconic look I think is great. I'm open to used. Any thoughts as to which model I should be steering towards? In some ways I don't want to go with the new models due to the subtle changes that have gone on over time. Any buyers on here I might go to?All help much appreciatedThanksSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New Tudor Prince Date acquisition
My new Tudor Chronograph. Thank you (or maybe damn you) recaro18 aka Ricky for helping me support my habit! Opinions are like wrist watches...everyone's watch shows a different time from others, but everyone believes that their time is correct.
