At SIHH the Roger Dubuis booth presented a casino look, consistent with the launch of the new men’s collection La Mon��gasque. The piece that best represents the high-stakes gambling theme is the limited edition Chronograph Big Number which sports the classic casino colors black, red and green. The 44mm rose gold case recalls the brand’s popular Sympathie line. Behind the roulette-inspired dial lies the self-winding RD680 movement which has been designed, developed and produced by Manufacture Roger Dubuis. The double-pusher column-wheel chronograph features a central chronograph hand, 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, and small seconds at 9 o'clock. The movement, with 261 parts and 42 jewels, is 6.30mm thick and beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vph). Has Omega discontinued the sapphire display back on their watches?
Don't know if this topic has been visited already, but I've noticed that there doesn't seem to be a sapphire sandwich offered for Omega speedmasters any longer. I think this is just another example of corporate greed. Charge more and deliver less. The sapphire sandwich used to be one of the best bangs for the buck in the watch world IMHO.Cheers allJim

Daytona's minute hand (chrono), does it jitter sometimes?
Is it is normal for the minute hand on the Daytona's chronograph to jitter sometimes, while moving when a minute is about to pass instead of moving swiftly? I tried taking a video, but it cannot capture it. With the naked eye you can see the movement is not necessarily smooth. Sometimes it moves swiftly and sometimes it jitters a bit before moving to indicate a minute is over. I understand it won't do it in one swift move. But it seemed though the hand jitters(to and fro motion) before it moves!Any comments?
