Swatch Group Terminates Partnership With Tiffany & Co. Citing Material Breach of Contract
Swatch Group announced today that it has terminated its cooperation contracts with Tiffany & Co. According to Swatch Group, “This action became necessary following Tiffany & Co's systematic efforts to block and delay development of the business.” Within the framework of a long-term partnership agreement, Swatch Group founded Tiffany Watch Co. Ltd. in Spring 2008. The new company was responsible for the development, production and distribution of “Tiffany & Co.” branded watches. Worldwide sales were handled through points of sale operated by Tiffany & Co., by The Swatch Group Ltd. and by independent retailers.Swatch Group said Tiffany Watch Co. Ltd. will be permitted to wind down current business over the course of two years following effective termination of the cooperation contracts.Swatch Group stated that it and Tiffany Watch Co. Hands-On: The Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days PAM 662 And Luminor 1950 PAM 663
Panerai doesn’t leave me indifferent. But I feel different about Panerai every time I have one on. One moment I get why the Paneristi are so devoted to the brand and why the subtle differences between each model make them so exciting. The next I wonder if the manufacture isn't running out of ideas. But the new PAM 662 and PAM 663 clearly show they haven’t. 1 OF 8 The reason in this case is their lovely tobacco-brown dials, and the history behind them. It’s a color Panerai would’ve hated seeing when they began making watches with Rolex in the 1930s. Their brass dials were black and meant to stay that way.To their dismay, the Florentine house would soon find out their patented radium-based powder (Radiomir), which so successfully lumed the hands and indexes of their diving instruments, would later turn them brown. That’s exactly what happened to one of its most famous watches, reference 6154. Nicknamed the “Egiziano Piccolo,” it

Thoughts on the new strap?
Hello everyone here at TRF! Admittedly I tend to be somewhat of a strap addict. I find that something as simple as a strap change can leave you feeling like you have a brand new watch on your wrist. Well this weekend my new strap arrived that I had custom made for my 5960. This strap is more casual and more beefy than the OEM strap that came with it. That said, the extra dimensions of the thicker leather add balance to the heavy platinum and makes it feel more secure in the wrist. Additionally, the lighter tan color seems a perfect choice for the summer months. Plus, it now has a little more casual aura to it which makes it feel right at home while wearing shorts/polo shirt or even jeans.I suspect I may get the thumbs down by the purists among us. And part of me wouldn't disagree with the criticism. That said, I am enjoying the look so far and find it to be a nice change that illustrates how versatile the 5960 really is.So, your thoughts please......ImageUploadedByTapatalk1431
Sell the GMTIIc for an Aquanaut 5167?
Dear all,I've got a nice little collection consisting of:- Breitling Intruder (quartz) - my first Swiss watch which gets thoroughly abused without any worries what so ever. Never missed a beat.- Rolex GMTIIc - my daily wearer that I swim in, take on holiday to the beach, in the shower sometimes, etc. My thought was Rolex can always polish it to near perfection during service, so I should give it plenty of wrist time and not worry about the scratches etc.- Patek 5146G - This is my pride and joy which gets a lot of wrist time during office hours, fancy dinners, and any other time I know it'll live a stress-free life!I got the GMT when it first came out so it's probably due for a service. Dangerously, this has gotten me thinking that another Patek might be in order, and I may have to waive good bye to the GMT (has to be worth what I paid for it or more?). The reasons being:- I'm kind of over the Rolex thing. As much as I think they're great watches, they're a little too flashy for my tast
