Oris RAID Chronograph Limited Edition Watch
Have it known that the US side of Oris's operation is comprised of some very lovely, helpful people. While I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked with them at Baselworld 2010, I will be spending more time with their watch collection in June. I was able to get shots of a very cool limited edition piece - the Oris RAID Chronograph. RAID is a rally race of vintage cars. It now takes place in Switzerland and France, and only includes automobiles made before 1975. If you want to learn more about it, just Google it.This should explain the styling of the RAID Chronograph watch. It looks quire retro and reminds us of when cars had really swoopy roofs. Specifically, the dial is influenced by the tachometer of a 1952 Jaguar XK 120 - that has the redline area reversed. Use of this concept adds that always welcome splash of red to the dial. ROO gator strap question
My perfect fit is in between two holes. On a cold day or inactive day I can just wear the gator strap on a particular hole. However, when it gets warmer its too tight. My question is, The strap is new, if I continue to wear it on the hole that is just right sometimes and too tight other times, is it likely to stretch a bit or should I just punch an in between hole? Clearwater offered to do it for me however, I no longer there and would have to source somewhere in Ontario to do it as I'd only do it if it were done right.ThanksEverett
Which Perpetual Calendar Chrono?
Hi guysNice to join you, I am Andrea, italian based in LondonIt has been a lot of time I have thought of buying a Patek Chrono and I am finally ready to do it My first choice would be the 5970 (either a G or a P) but, given the attractive second market price of the 5270 I was also recently looking into it..Aesthetically wise I would go for the 5970.. From an investment point of view I am excited about the 5270's first in house movement and think that sooner or later it will recover in value.. I heard that maybe at Baselworld next year also the P version will come outI am aware that you had a lot of similar discussions in the past but I would like to hear your updated thoughts given also today's prices and new models Thank you all and have a great Sunday
