New from Breitling: the Transocean Chronograph Limited Edition
The brand with the winged B is introducing the Transocean Chronograph Limited special series, fitted with the manufacture’s in-house Caliber 01 automatic chronograph movement. The new model pays tribute to a landmark timepiece from the brand’s history, the original Transocean, introduced in 1958. Find more information, including pricing and wallpaper, inside. During the 1950s and 1960s, Breitling helped conquer the skies. The Navitimer, launched in 1952, established itself as a cult watch among pilots and other devotees of aviation. The brand supplied onboard chronographs for the propeller planes and later the jet planes of numerous aircraft manufacturers and airlines, thus becoming the “official supplier to world aviation”.In 1958, building upon its reputation as the manufacturer of instruments for professionals, Breitling launched a new model named Transocean. The ad slogan ran “Men who have faith in the mighty liners of the sky will trust the Transocean
Would you buy? - AP survivor
Hey guys,I went and looked at a AP survivor this weekend. It's got all box/papers and has had one owner (allegedly). The watch however shows a lot of signs of wear. If you look closely the crown protector chipped colors and there are a lot of scratches on it. For those who are formulaic with the watch I have the following Q'a1) can the watch be polished or do the coating does wear off over time? (No idea how blackened titanium polishes)2) would you buy a watch in this condition? (Lots of scratches to the. Are. The crown protector basically chipped colors. The bezel screws are chipping colors)
Service cost on AP? - Just things to consider before a purchase. (input appreciated)
Hey guys.So before I make any decision on this beautiful 15450, which IMO is a perfect fit for my wrists, I have a few questions.I generally am very careful with my watches, and I am aware that the AP RO is very prone to scratches, and I would I assume knowing how I am, I will probably want to service her every few years. How much does a service generally cost?I assume if there is a deep ding on the bezel, it would have to be changed. Would this literally cost a fortune?Lastly. Would you think this is a good idea for a second watch?First being a Rolex GMT.Input is appreciated!
Gareth Bale
Well the most expensive footballer in the world is sporting a Rubber clad . Great advert for AP. If he's not signed up as an ambassador they better sign him up fast. (C&P Telegragh website) Bale flew to the Spanish capital this morning after Real ended over two months of speculation, gossip and negotiation on Sunday night by announcing they had agreed a deal - thought to be worth 100million euros (?85.3million) - with Spurs for the 24-year-old.The Wales international successfully passed his medical before signing a six-year contract with the Spanish giants, where he will link up with Cristiano Ronaldo, who in 2009 became the most expensive player in the world when Real signed him from Manchester United for ?80m.
Incoming....BLNR
Good day all,So, some of you may have seen my post last week about considering replacing my SD43 with a BLNR as the SD43 is fairly heavy for a daily wearer. So, after that post last week I went to my local AD to put my name down for a BLNR, knowing that there was a list I was thinking I wouldn't have my hands on it for a good few months at least.Well...this morning I get a call, the AD has a BLNR for me! Was not expecting this at all, also in the short period between putting my name on the list for the BLNR and getting the call, I had decided that I could never part ways with the SD43!I also felt as though I could not pass on getting a BLNR for $8,550 out the door, particularly with the rumours about it being discontinued so now I have both the SD43 and BLNR to enjoy. I think I will keep the BLNR on ice for a little while though as mentally I was not ready for this purchase so soon (also the mrs will kill me if she finds out I have bought another Rolex so soon after buying my first one
