My First Omega - Seamaster Planet Ocean 2200.50
I have never had the chance to own an Omega - until today! When my purchase from TRF arrived. It is the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 45mm. I was so eager to put it on when I opened the box; only to find out that the links, are not as easy to remove like the Rolexes or the easy strap-changing system of the Panerais. It was too late to bring it to the watchmaker to have the links removed to fit me; so what I did was this - put it on my black NATO strap which has been sitting on my drawer unused for about a year! Was able to utilize my NATO; and it worked out great! Oh, and by the way... IT LOOKS AWESOME!!!! Wanna see???
5164 Steel Bracelet
Just found a listing for a 5164 on a steel bracelet on Chronext and was wondering if anyone knows if the bracelet is a legit option that one can get through an AD ? Never seen the combo before so I was genuine wondering how this might be a possible option as I think it is an interesting spin on the 5164.Anyways, I kinda liked the combo and thought this might be an interesting find for you guys.Cheers
682 Incoming!
Visited the Panerai store while on vacation in Florence. Tried the 682 on and fell in love. Didn't buy there because of no discount and vat was equal to buying at retail in the states plus dollar was at 1.24.. So my good buddy Thanh (Takuya) coincidentally got a 3 month old one in a few days upon my return to the states! It was meant for me! The way it feels on is amazing! 42mm is perfect for my 6.5 wrist!
First Rolex incoming!
Hi guys, need to share my excitement with you. My Rolex journey has been a rather odd one. I got into watches couple of years ago. From the start, I was 100% certain that I would never own a Rolex. I just didn't like what you typically associate with the brand or people who wear them (please don't kick me out and keep reading). Over the years, I bought 2 Omegas (Speedy Pro & Seamaster PO GMT), 2 Breitlings (Superocean Heritage 46 & Transocean 1461), a Tudor (Black Bay Heritage S&G), a Sinn (104), a Tag Heuer (Link) and some Seikos (SKX, Samurai, Cocktail Time). And while I love all of these watches, the more I learned about Rolex, its history and its horological significance, the more intrigued I was. It was clear: I needed to have one. I've been hunting a BLNR for months now here in Australia and it's almost impossible. They sell used ones 15% over MSRP and new ones at 30-40%. After doing some research here one the forum and the countless people very happy with purchasing
Rolex BLNR on RubberB
Well after receiving the strap last week, and the burgeon tool, I managed to change the rubber strap on my Tudor Pelogas, as that is what i brought it with, too the bracelet, was a little tricky, but then found that the bracelet needed sizing. So a visit to my Ad was in order, Now as it was a little tricky for me, I decided to take the BLNR and strap with me to the dealer to see if they would change it for me.After doing the tudor, I asked if they would mind doing the BLNR for me, No of course not, will be a couple of minutes.Came out a happy chappy, feels good, now do I get one for the SubLVc?? with green stripe..HHHmmmmmDid try on the BB Blue while I was there....nice.
