Help Identifying Vintage Omega
Hi Guys,I need a little help identifying the specifics on this watch. A AD looked at it and states that it was a cal.565, ref 166-02,with a serial number indicating a 1968 vintage. I have done searches on the net but cannot come up with the same dial. also anyone have any idea a ballpark value? any help is appreciated.
My first venture into PP.
Hi guys, recently I had a chance to reflect on my collection and realized I don't have a bonafide dress watch. As fate would have it, I came across the Gondolo ref. 5111g-001 this past weekend and I'm now contemplating pulling the trigger. IMHO, it's a very handsome piece. What are your thoughts and thanks for your inputs and advice. Here's a stock pic.
A Patek dilemma
I've been an active member of this great forum for quite some time now, but this is the first topic I've opened about a non-Rolex watch. I'm sorry about the very long post.I've gone through numerous watch brands and several sub-$5000 watches in the past few years. My modest collection currently includes a Breitling Colt II Quartz (the beater), a SS Sub-C LN (the everyday wear), an Omega Speedmaster MoonWatch from 1969 (the vintage watch), and last but certainly not least an AP Royal Oak 15300ST (the one for special occasions). I want to extend my collection slowly, by only getting one watch per year. I'm also determined to get only one watch per each brand I find interesting, and make sure not to add multiple similar watches to my collection. I also don't want to trade in any of my current watches to fund a next purchase, so one can consider all my current watches keepers. As you can see, my collection so far is geared towards sporty models. That is because despite being in my 30'
232 stopped winding
These watches are beautiful, last serviced in 2015, I bought it used, and it stopped winding today, I'm guessing main spring.any idea on service cost now? I assume best plan is to go to Panerai for this?I've had my 005 service twice (once for condensation from a pool) I might have to go back to Rolex. my sub date takes a beating.
Datejust 41
Which dial is the rarest? Does the band choice make a difference?I can get one for $7,700 NIB w/tags and all papers. Is that a good price? thanks!
