Sinn 756 UTC Diapal Lubricant Free Watch Available
Really quick. Here is one of the coolest Sinn watches out there, and really rare at that. This is the 756 UTC Dialpal, which is the 757 UTCmodel without the rotating bezel. The Diapal name refers to a diamond palette system used instead of jewels between the gears. The system is so "slippery" that the movement needs no oil to lubricate these areas. The whole idea beyond just looking cool is to allow the watch to go much longer between servicing. This watch retails for over $3,000 and is basically impossible to get in a lot of situations. The one pictured is available on eBay right now, as is at about $900 at the time of writing. Major news out of Biel, Switzerland, this morning: The Swatch Group has announced the appointment of a new president at Omega, following Stephen Urquhart's decision to retire.Mr. Urquhart, 69, had been Omega's president and CEO since 1999, and was an important member of the Swatch Group Extended Group Management Board. Hi guys - please excuse my ignorance (new to AP) but am wondering if the current scarcity issues extends to the 15450. I am considering an I serial silver face for approx $15.5k (full set) but would happily pay a bit more if I stood a reasonable chance of getting one new in a reasonable time frame. Would prefer blue dial but realize that may be unobtainable right now. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!
