New ap
Just bought a new AP SS Chrono w/ a white dial -- loving the new timepiece but it is taking some getting used to as I have been looking at Panerai and Rolex dials for so long. This is a bit busy... and the bracelet also has a lot more going on. Never the less I am thrilled... bling or no bling??? What is the answer?
Non AD's
I'm looking for the best non AD on the web to purchase an Omega Seamaster 300M, or are there any AD's on the web to purchase an Omega.
Value and Authenticity check...
I am not too familiar with Omega so i am asking for some help. Can someone let me know if the below pics of a speedy pro, 50 anniversary model, checks out? Is the band/box complete and consistent with this model? What is a reasonable price for a gently used model? What are some things to check for when tyring to authenticate the watch? Thanks.
Pronouncing Patek
Yes, dumbest question ever. As Don Adams would say, Sorry about that chief! When I hear Patek Philippe pronounced, usually it seems different depending on whether one is saying Patek or Patek Philippe. Patek Philippe seems to be pronounced in a French way, Pah-tek with the accent on tek.But when saying Patek for short, it seems like people frequently say, Pa-dick with the accent on the Pa.Is this my imagination?
Nautilus 3800, White Gold
Hello all,New to the forum, have lurked for years. I recently acquired a Nautilus 3800 in all White Gold (traditional blue face). I love the 3800 as I have an average to smaller size wrist and I like the 37.5mm case size--it is decidedly sporty and elegant at the same time (I wore it with a formal dinner jacker on Friday night and a t-shirt and jeans yesterday)I love the watch--purchased to celebrate the birth of my son, and plan to give it to him in 30 years (if all goes well!!)Anyhow, does anyone know relative production numbers for these white gold Nautilus? I've never come across one until now. Obviously there are the uber-rare platinum models out there.Anyhow, looking forward to discussing more.
