My First Grail Watch: Giles Ellis Of Schofield Watches
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch". In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. In today's entry, we're talking to the owner of Schofield Watch Company, Giles Ellis. In his reminiscing, he goes back, literally, to his beginnings of watch interest. His piece really goes to show that your first grail doesn't have to be something in the far reaches of haute horology - it just has to be something that you love.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Giles Ellis (GE): Giles Ellis, owner of Schofield Watch Company. Thoughts on being approached
To cut a long story short, I was in Puerto Banus the other day and spotted a ROO Bucherer edition (one of my favourites) on someone and wanted to mention to them my admiration however I thought it may come across as rude. Would love to know your thoughts and if you had ever been in a similar situation or the other way around where someone has stopped you to comment on what you're wearing and if you were unhappy about it?

Oyster Perpetual V's Explorer 1
I'm currently considering either a Oyster Perpetual 116000 (No Date) or a Explorer 114270 both would be in stainless steel with black dial... they look fairly similar however I am I right in thinking they both use a 3130 calibre movement ? the internet is a bit of a minefield when it come to researching these things,Also is either better than the other.... many thanks H
