Ulysse Nardin Launches Marine Chronograph Manufacture With In-House Movement
Ulysse Nardin’s journey toward more in-house movement production, a stated goal of UN CEO Patrik Hoffman, continued apace at this year’s Baselworld, when the brand released the new Marine Chronograph Manufacture, its first chronograph watch with an in-house movement.The watch’s story begins last year, when Ulysse Nardin purchased the rights to Ebel’s Caliber 137, the chronograph movement that has now been renamed Ulysse Nardin Caliber 150 and manufactured exclusively by UN at its workshop in Le Locle, Switzerland. The Marine Chronograph Manufacture follows up last year’s major introduction of the Marine Chronometer Manufacture, which contained the brand’s very first in-house movement, COSC-certified chronometer Caliber Un-118.Ulysse Nardin has outfitted the original Ebel movement with its own silicon escapement, which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph; even the balance spring, made of silicon, is made in-house. Speedmaster- low demand?
I was in the maret for a Speedmaster, saphire sandwich. I eventually bought a pre-owned one in great condition. They had some reduced Speedmasters and other Omegas but no 3573.50.00I was reading somewhere that the demand for the speedmaster is not high because it is manual wind and has no date. The lack of demand is why many shops do not carry it in stock. The sales person told me that because it is in high demand that they did not have one in stock.So which is it? 115200 Black dial Steel Date Price New
My Rolex AD has an 115200 Black dial Steel Date with box selling for $4200. It seems like a very good price and I'm trying to decide if I should get it. It has the engraved Bezel and he said it just has not sold for several years so they are selling just to move it. The Rolex warranty has expired so I get a 3 year store warranty. It seems like a good deal I just don't know if I'm missing something.
