Ceramic - what's so special?
So I am contemplating a new AP and am taking a liking to the full ceramic 44 chrono. Is there a place where I may find more information on what makes ceramic so special (beyond scratch resistance)? What I really like is when the light hits the ceramic case, it looks spectacular. Also, when will the ceramic chrono be available for purchase?
Can anybody enlighten me on the Chronostop?
Greetings TRF,The title pretty much says it all, I've been looking at Chronostop's for a little while now and was wondering what could be said about them. Fear not, I'm not going to ask you if I should go for it or the price I should pay for one...I have been thinking about a stainless steel chronograph for some time and a single pusher model would always be interesting to me, surely it would stand out in a collection (especially given the fact that all the chronograph's I've owned thus far were regular two pushers models). I know its dial is very simple and perhaps not very convenient given the complication it has but I really like it (whether we're talking about the regular one or the driver one). I know some come with tachymeters or diving bezels but the very simple one is the one I happened to see more. What I want to know is if anybody has some information on the model itself. In my research I've found out that they were designed and made for a younger generation of enthusiasts bac
First Patek - 5146 / 5396 / 5205
Fellow Patek enthusiasts,I'd like to hear your thoughts on a first Patek. While I'd love a 5711 in steel, we all know the premium is just too high right now on the 2nd market. I'm OK building a relationship and growing my Patek collection over time. I'm current loving my BLNR and have on rotation a 116520, a 116400GV, a IW3799-01, and a IW3905-02.Let me know what you guys think!
