Watches and F1: Oris and Williams F1
It's strange how sponsorship pairings just click sometimes. Intentional or no, every once in a while, a team and their sponsor will resemble each other beyond the superficialities of brand partnership, and the resulting synergy can produce some truly great successes. A great example of this in the watchmaking world is the 11-year partnership between Oris and Williams Grand Prix Engineering. Both companies, while not necessarily the flashiest or most well-known in their respective sectors, have a reputation for quietly producing some of the most capable, technically advanced machinery in their fields. The reasons for this between the two varies, however. In the case of Oris, while the company produces cutting-edge and innovative mechanical pieces such as the Big Crown ProPilot Altimeter, the first-ever wristwatch with a mechanical altimeter (find out more on that in Mark McArthur Christie's excellent write- up here), the brand has simply never captured the greater public's interest in th

I love curved end straps and the OEM Omega fold-over deployant is the only clasp for me.After cutting the keepers off of Hirsch Leonardo straps to use the Omega deployant, I was pleased to see Hirsch introduce a Heavy Calf LE with removable keepers. The curved ends seem to fit better than the Medici and Omega deployant works great:
Bond Seamaster Quartz - AD discount?
Regret parting with my Seamaster quartz (wave blue dial) a while back and thinking about purchasing a new one from an AD. Should I expect to get a discount from the list price of $2,050? If so, what kind of discounts are you all seeing? Thanks in advance for your feedback!
Pam 028
Hi guys,I wanted to ask the Pam experts here, what price is a good price for a 028, the 1000 limited edition from 2009?I have it in almost new condition, just minor scratches where the screwdriver touched the case to change the straps, other than that it is spotless, full set bit and papers.I am selling it and would like to sell it in less than 10 years so would really appreciate if you could tell me what would be the optimum price, for me and for the buyer? Thanks in advance
