Chopard L.U.C XPS – Poin?on de Genve 125th Anniversary Edition
To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Poin?on de Genve quality hallmark, Chopard unveils a limited edition of its L.U.C XPS model enhanced with a date window. This watch is powered by Chopard’s in-house L.U.C Calibre 96.01-L (L.U.C 1.96). Despite its demure 3.3mm thickness, this self-winding movement offers a date display and twin barrels with a 65 hour power reserve. The Poin?on de Genve was established in 1886 to ensure a very high level of quality. 2011 marks the 125th anniversary of this Genevan horological institution. To mark the occasion, Chopard Manufacture, which since 1996 has seen a substantial proportion of its movements earn the Poin?on de Genve , presents an 18-karat rose gold commemorative L.U.C XPS model in a 125-piece limited edition. This 18-karat rose gold timepiece features a chocolate-brown sunburst satin-brushed dial bearing the Poin?on de Genve logo at 12 o'clock. The L.U.C 1.96 movement and its bridges are adorned with C?tes de Genve and m
Opinions and advice needed please
Those of you that have been kind enough to read my recent threads will know that I am in the process of reducing my collection of Rolex from 6 to 2 or 3....the idea being to use the proceeds (give or take) to enter the world of AP and PP.My purchasing has been speeded-up by the recent actions of the Swiss National Bank and the impending/already happening price increases.....and I am delighted to say that I have an AP 15400 arriving in the next few days (can't wait!)I am on the waiting list for a PP 5167 at the Patek salon in Geneva, which should arrive around April/May. However....Whenever I look at wrist shots of the 5167 I love it, and many TRFers over on the Patek forum write how wonderful it is. The few times I have tried it on in Geneva I have not been quite so sure. I have found it to be very light in weight and barely large enough for my tastes. I am also unsure about the numerals. I only wear sports watches (ie. dress watches are not an option) and the Nautilus simply doesn't d
Shorter Straps?
Does AP make a short horn back strap? Or any short straps?I have a 6.5 wrist and I need to have the clasp adjusted to the last hole to fit nice.... The deployment buckle just digs into my wrist (ouch)I figure having a short strap would bring the deployment buckle closer to the center of my wrist making it much more bearable/comfortable thanks in advance!
Incoming Speedmaster MKII Racing Dial
Just received this today after looking for one on & off for quite a while , I know it's a service replacement dial & the case has had a polish. But for the money paid I'm more than happy with it .I am in the office ,& can't check serial number until I remove the caseback later .
5167a longer wait than 5711
I called my AD (UK)Im about 6 months into a12 month wait for a 5711When it occurred to me- that I do actually like the 5167a and it's 5000 less - so perhaps it's the path of least resistance both chronologically and financiallyBut they say - it's 2 years waiting time!! I was shockedI'm off to Italy next month -where might be a good place to try ? Anyone know?!
