Reference books
I clicked on one of the banners here on TRF about a Rolex Daytona reference book by Patrizzi. Then I noticed that the same source is also selling a book about Nautilus and Patek Philippe Modern Watches:(not sure if I am allowed to post this link).collectingwatches/en/...-philippe.htmlI wanted to ask you guys: has anybody ever bought any reference books here? the prices seem to be very steep at 960 (!) euros but an extensive and conclusive reference work could be worth it.Greetings,Dimitry
Slim picking for the little guy!
My wrist isn't big at all. I currently have a GMT II now and the 40mm is just right. I have tried on the Explorer II and can pull it off. So a 42 is my limit and at that size, there are limited choices. Love everything about the 233 and you know who is to blame for that! To those who love the 233 - what would be a good choice for a 42mm? The 392?Thanks!
Thoughts on the 504
Hey GuysI was just curious on some thoughts on the Panerai 504. I have one, and I like it......but other watches are popping up that I like as well and I'm trying to make a decision if the 504 is worth keeping in the long run. I heard they discontinued it, and I don't want to be the guy that sells it for 9K and then sees it for 16K Thanks for the advice!!
Incoming SD43!
A couple of weeks ago my number came up on an SD43. As my luck goes, I was traveling and couldn't get in to the AD to complete the purchase. On a whim today I called an AD I've never done business with and asked if they had one. Completely expecting them to say no and dismiss me. I was shocked when they told me they had one and I could come get it! So....I did!! Fantastic AD and they have earned my future business. Great experience with them!
