AP 15450ST Concerns?
I've had a 15300 before and kinda regret selling it. However the bracelet always felt a tad too wide for my 6,3 wrist. Been researching about this 15450 but had some fears that it would be too small, bracelet too dainty, hard hit on the resale value bla bla bla. Today I pulled the trigger on a white dialed 15450st. It is none of what I feared it would be. It is not too small and bracelet fit was amazing. It wears almost like my 39mm explorer 1. So you folks who has been considering this size but had fears and concerns, dont worry. This 15450 is a timeless piece done right. Unless of course you're 7 foot tall with 7 wrist. But yea I'll post some pics that hopefully might enable some of you to grab one too.
44mm Question
Taking a deep breath as I type this as it's probably not a good path for me to go down - Monetarily speaking. I recently I searched Vegas for a 44mm to try on my wrist (any metal) just for a feel. Again no AD in my area.We have seen some beautiful images of the RG and FC versions here lately - IMO both breathtaking and special in their own ways. With all of the great images lately I feel I have a good idea for what they look like and how they play in different lights. Personally I LOVE the balance of the RG and the different black colors on the watch. I feel both would be awesome additions. My question is regarding the Stainless Steel version...Wondering if anyone could post images or describe the dial and it's coloration. On the AP website seems simple - sub dials look matte black. In some images I have seen the sub dials and ring of the dial come off like a dark navy?Just wondering anyone's feelings regarding the SS version who have handled it in person. When it comes right down
A Planet Ocean owner's thoughts on the 14060
Hi all,Thought I'd share my thoughts on my 14060 after being a PO owner for a number of years. Now I realise this particular subject has been done to death but I'll keep things short and also keep things focussed on as many objective factors as I can. Hopefully this can help with anyone looking to buy either the PO or the 14060.The two watches in question are an X serial 14060 and a black on black 42mm Planet Ocean.First and foremost, both are lovely watches and very, very different. I know there's been a lot said about Omegas being derivatives of Rolex and indistinguishable when viewed by a layperson, but they both have a significantly different look and feel on the wrist. For me, aside from the brand difference, movement etc. the following are the major differences:The DesignThe Planet Ocean is clearly the more contemporary and uncommon design. This is very likely due to the general public's familiarity with the age old submariner design, but the PO definitely does stand out more. That
Thoughts on the new strap?
Hello everyone here at TRF! Admittedly I tend to be somewhat of a strap addict. I find that something as simple as a strap change can leave you feeling like you have a brand new watch on your wrist. Well this weekend my new strap arrived that I had custom made for my 5960. This strap is more casual and more beefy than the OEM strap that came with it. That said, the extra dimensions of the thicker leather add balance to the heavy platinum and makes it feel more secure in the wrist. Additionally, the lighter tan color seems a perfect choice for the summer months. Plus, it now has a little more casual aura to it which makes it feel right at home while wearing shorts/polo shirt or even jeans.I suspect I may get the thumbs down by the purists among us. And part of me wouldn't disagree with the criticism. That said, I am enjoying the look so far and find it to be a nice change that illustrates how versatile the 5960 really is.So, your thoughts please......ImageUploadedByTapatalk1431
