Antiquorum Offers Important Rolex GMT-Master with Bathyscaph Trieste Connection
On Wednesday evening December 8, Antiquorum will offer 365 modern and vintage timepieces at its Manhattan headquarters, including a historically significant Rolex GMT-Master that belonged to Lt. Don Walsh who, along with Jacques Piccard, piloted the bathyscaphe Trieste to the deepest point in the world’s oceans. This important Rolex GMT-Master, ref. 6542, belonged to U.S. Navy Lieutenant Don Walsh, the Officer-in-Charge of the Navy’s Bathyscaph Trieste. Lieutenant Walsh and Jacques Piccard piloted the Bathyscaph Trieste to the deepest place in the world’s oceans: the Challenger Deep in the Marianas Trench, 200 miles southwest of Guam. The Trieste descended to a depth of 35,800 feet. Subsequent to the dive, in April 1960, Rolex gifted Lieutenant Walsh a Rolex GMT- Master. Also in recognition of his achievement, Lieutenant Walsh was awarded the Legion of Merit, the Navy’s second highest non-combat medal, by President Eisenhower at a ceremony held at The White Hous
Anyone else invited to the Breitling NYC Boutique opening?

Omega ck2998 or seamaster 300 master coaxial
Good evening everyone,My omega AD called to let me know they could place me on a list for the new ck2998 speedmaster. I'm contemplating maybe just getting a FOIS or seamaster master co-axial diver 41mm. I like versatility with my timepieces swapping out nato straps, leather bands, and bracelets at times. I would have to source a bracelet for the speedys if I do choose that model. I know they are 2 different watches but just want to hear everyones thoughts considering the ck is a LE piece. Thanks in advance!
what to look for when buying used PP "complicated "
I ask because I am buying a lightly used, somewhat complicated 5170. I have seen pictures of the watch and paperwork and all looks good. I am doing the transaction face to face in the seller's office. (Out of State for me but I happen to be there next week).I have no reason to be believe that their should be a problem (seller is more than happy for me to come to his office) but is there something I should look for?
128 Days with my 8 month old BLNR
I've never been much of a stickler for this but many postings on TRF made me think: hmmm, how well is my beautiful BLNR doing in the accuracy department?I was stunned. I expected it to be great but, to me, this is insanely great. 128 days between settings (I had to change my 24 hour GMT hand yesterday because most of the U.S. went on daylight savings time and my home time zone jumped ahead one hour).Summary: 44 seconds gained over 128 days = ~ 1/3 of a second a day.
