Nomos Lux & Nomos Lambda Gold Watch Lines Enhanced With Beautiful Colors And Smaller Cases
This time last year, Nomos announced two new lines that exclusively used gold for their case construction. At the time, we debuted both the Nomos?Lux and the Nomos Lambda?models, which were an entirely new direction for Nomos, offering a level of technology, craftsmanship and finishing, not to mention price, that is well above the small German brand's core line up. This month, Nomos will expand both lines, adding a trio of women's models to the Nomos Lux line and a new dark blue dial to the white gold version of the Nomos Lambda.The new Nomos Lux versions come in three original colors - Sable (aubergine, ref. 942),?Ermine (grey, ref. 940), and Cicada (lemon yellow, ref. 941). Swihanic, the under-priced mystery watch, oh how you bewilder. I have been wearing the Riedenschild for few weeks now and it has definitely left an impression. It feels like an expensive watch, it looks like an expensive watch and for the most part, seems to be built like an expensive watch�� but expensive is the one thing the Swihanic is not. OK, let me qualify that last statement. The Swihanic (still don't know what that means) has many features that just don't belong, as I understand the watch market, on a watch this price, being about $275.? The watch features a sapphire crystal, a well-made deployment-clasp strap (optional), branded crowns and strap details, a decorated Unitas movement, an internal bezel and a unique case design. Sure, "built like an expensive watch" is a terrible generalization, since I am sure it is not built anything like a $5000+ dollar watch, or a $1500 dollar watch for that matter, but it is better than expected, and would beat the crap out of many brands in

Blue Speedmaster Chrono -- Thumbs Up??
So, I'm looking at a Tudor Chrono -- Real nice. Then, wow, find out I can buy a new Omega Blue chrono for about the same price. I like the blue dial and bezel, sorta like the white gold rolex Sub I can't afford. Though, of course the Rolex isn't a chrono. Anyone have one of these Omegas? Are they nice? Is there something negative to wind up the watch with the lever closed? Wears the crown at the top? Wear it on the lock stock roll?Will it affect the water tightness by tearing the gasket with the crown in the depressed position when I wind it?
