Saw this at a very reasonable price and couldn't resist - love the colouring on the dial! Difficult to photo. Condition not brilliant, but perfectly fit for purpose!
Omega is stepping up to the plate...
I think Omega is doing a great job stepping up to the plate for making great watches. They are catching the eye of many watch lovers. Stepping into the making their own movements to making some great complications to keeping old school still there. I say nice job. In time they will be extremely expensive. In a short out of a few with a large pocket book to the extreme of retard expensive (those with pockets WAY beyond average.) Just like Rolex. Thumbs up from me.
First Patek - Aquanaut Travel Time 5164A
Funny, approximately 8 months ago, I was contemplating paying almost 6000 bucks above retail to get a white Daytona 116500.Realizing that I was willing to spend more on a watch that I ever thought, I ventured outside of my Rolex comfort zone.It led me to my first AP, the 15400ST blue dial. This year, after reaching a couple of milestones this past month, I decided to step up a bit to kinda celebrate and reward myself. So, it led me to this Looking at a 5164A as First PP First time trying it on.Came home with me.First day at the office
OEM kevlar dive strap
Just got a 305 and I tried on the second strap that comes with it (the kevlar strap with the friction buckle). The strap seems really long (which I guess makes sense if you are wearing it over a wet suit). At first I thought it was going to be a cool alternative strap...but I can't imagine I'll use this strap for day-to-day usage. Does anyone use this aside from when diving?
228239 White Dial
I'm a sucker for the Roman numeral dials. I've seen tons for DD40 offered for sale here with the blue dials and the anniversary green dials, but I don't think I've seen a WG white dial Roman offered. Is it not a popular watch or just the opposite? I'm thinking of adding that as my next piece if I can find it for the right price. On that note, what are your thoughts on a DJ 41 being offered with the white dial Romans? I saw that they added the slate dial green Romans in SS. Fingers are crossed they add the white Roman to the DJ41 lineup.
