PROPER INTRO WITH PICS - of some my OMEGA faves
Greetings Gents: I have collected since 1995, and though am currently in the Netherlands (as a result of my dual Citizenship I frequently travel back to the US) - I have gone through many phases, but mainly Omega and Rolex, as well as various 1950s-80s historically significant divers. Some obscure divers as well from: ZRC Etanche Grands Fonds ca. 1960 (6 o'clock crown & Nr. NOS), Aquastar ca. 1962 (Deepstar GEN 1: VJ 23 MINT, GEN 1 Aquastar Benthos 500 Nr. MINT) Aquastar Regatta NEWPORT ca. 1980 (Lemania mov't, TRUE NOS), LIP Nautic - Militar 1940s (MUSEUM QUALITY on original leather band, incredible speciman) LIP Nautic Ski ca. 1965 (electric R 184, dual crown, compressor, MINT), EPSA compressor cased watches of various types, Alsta watches, yep the Jaws movie watches etc... and even transitional Heuer-Tag Heuer ca. 1985 ref 510.501 PVD Chronographs with Lemania's celebrated 5100 (Nr. MINT), ZENITH Defy Gauss ca. 1971 ( MINT, 1/2000, screw-down crown, 200m WR, exact spec to Role
Breakfast with Omega SMP 2254 .. I finally find her..
Hello nice people of TRFthis thread is my dedication to one of my favourite watch,Omega Seamaster 2254Since I was in college..I always been fascinated with dive watch.. The simplicity, clarity and symetrism plus the versatile tough nature to worn practically everywhere..Omega 2254 ... first time I saw this beauty ..I love how simple it is .. the size.. the thin.. the curved..off course back in college, I cant afford one...after many years, 2 weeks ago, a colleague of mine, has old stock of 14 Omegas.. and one of them is Omega 2254Without hesitation. I ask him, Can I buy the 2254... he agreed to sell me the 2254 in fair priceI hope 1100 usd is a fair price..I ve been wearing it for > 1 weeksthe accuracy is satisfying for me, it going quite steady in minus 1 - 2 sec/ dayI want to share my happiness, some of this pictures I take by myself while I am having breakfast in a cafe not far from office and some taken while I am having my lunch...She lied down on breakfast tablethats me and he
Suggestions For First Rolex
I will be traveling to South Dakota next month as I have been chosen by the tribal elders to be a member of an advisory committee focusing on the development of a small gaming casino. My business suit already ordered, I am now considering a new wristwatch in order to present a more professional appearance amongst the developers and investors. I currently wear a G-Shock in my profession as a construction supervisor. What model Rolex would best serve this purpose? I am strictly a blue jeans person and would prefer something that is all-around practical but not too showy. Should I consider other brands as well?My current and available allotment towards this purchase is roughly $5000. If I sell my extra Jeep, I can add another $4500 to the mix but would prefer not to go over $10,000 for a wristwatch expenditure. We are a humble people and wearing an overly expensive watch to these meetings might send out the wrong smoke signals.I also should note that every fall we hold a tribal pow-wow whic
Would you fix this?
I accidentally dropped my datejust on a tile floor and now there is a small dent on the lug. It's devastating to me and luckily the crystal didn't crack and the watch is still working fine. I know there's a watchmaker in melbourne that can laser weld it with good reputation. Would you fix it or just leave it? I can live with scratches but a dent on a 3 months old watch is bothering me a lot. You can see the dent as the part that reflects light on the lug. When you get it laser welded, I suppose you would need to remove the movement from the case in which would void the 5 years warranty?
