Introducing The Swatch Big Classic Collection, Casual Watches Just In Time For Spring
A few months ago we sat down with Swatch Creative Director Carlo Giordanetti?to get an inside look at the history of Swatch, its relationship to the art world, and the spring/summer 2014 collections. Today we're focusing on the Big Classic collection, a set of seven new watches that offer a more conservative take on Swatch's directional styles. To celebrate, Swatch has even opened a temporary concept store in London's famous Harrods department store.? 2 OF 4 The Big Classic collection starts with Swatch's 41mm stainless steel "Irony" case, meaning the watches are slightly larger and more robust feeling than the more typically-seen plastic Swatches. From there, there are a few different dial, bezel and bracelet styles. You can go with a simple black dial with the date down at 6 o'clock, a thin bezel, and a black crocodile-embossed leather strap with deployant buckle, or you can select a pilot-inspired variation with broad hands and a wider, graduated bezel. Went to my CT Omega AD today . . .
No, no new watch this time, BUT I just thought I'd share a fantastic AD experience I've had today. As some of you who live in the state of Connecticut may know, there is a VERY limited amount of Omega AD's in the state (something like 2 or 3 total). Today I visited Lenox Jewelers in Fairfield, CT. I was VERY impressed by the knowledge at the salesperson I spoke with (Glen). They treated me VERY well (even gave me an Omega Collection booklet, listing all the current Omega watch models !!). Besides Omega (they had a very nice selection, the Speedy Moon watch, two quartz SMP's (one black, the other blue), auto Seamasters, PO's, PO Chrono's, etc.), but they also had a very nice selection of Rolex, and Breitling as well. I guess my point of all this, is if anyone is in the CT area, definitely check these guys out ! They also have thier own in-house watchmaker as well ! (Instead of sending in to Rolex / Omega for service, they do 90% of the work right in the AD ! ). Anyway, just thought that

Incoming... my odyssey to the Hulk
Hi folks, I collected my 116610LV today after a almost 4 month waiting time. I know not that that bad. But here is how I happened to waited 4 months for nothing. Fast backwards to beginning of November I went to my AD for the second time in 2017 to order the Hulk. The first time was in July only to have a look at it. So since November I called once a month to check in and see how my order is going (it's the second sub I buy from that AD). Every time I was told without checking that they don't know when they will get one and that there is a 5 months waiting list. Last Friday I called again, for the first I'm told that they are going to check. I get a call back one hour later telling me that they could fined my order and that it was most probably cancelled because it's not possible to order twice the same Rolex in a year. Imagine my face at that moment. I'm told to come to the AD to make a new order telling me 100 times that they are sorry and would put me on a priority position. So next
