Inside The Watchmaking Machine: A Visit To The Five Parmigiani Fleurier Manufactures
In my experience, the best way to understand a thing is to visit its source. In the timepiece industry, a certain amount of secrecy and distance are a way of life, with many of the brands we so frequently cover offering little more than carefully worded press releases and the occasional loaner for review. While we certainly take whatever we can get, it is a rare occasion that we are afforded the opportunity to explore a brand and their products from the inside. Over the next few months, I've lined up a few visits to the headquarters of noteworthy brands and manufactures that have been gracious enough to open their doors to us, and will be reporting on my experiences with each, here on watches-dealer.The first up is Parmigiani Fleurier, based in Fleurier, Switzerland, whom I visited in June of 2015. Read on for my thoughts on this oft-misunderstood manufacture! One of the five key locations: bird's eye view of Parmigiani's Vaucher ManufactureOverviewWhen I say Parmigiani Fleurier is oft-

Took this and my AP Diver with me to Menorca.
New watch accuraccy.
Just got a hardly used 2254.50 and did a 24 hour time check. Only lost 1 to 2 seconds. I'd say that is pretty good for an auto!!!
Selling my ap 15202 for PP 5980/1a?
I have been thinking of pulling the trigger on the 5980/1a for sometime now, will have to sell A watch to fund my PP chrono, i was going to part with my Pam 233 gmt, but then realized it will be more likely taking a hit on the second hand market. Should I sell my ap 15202 instead? Jumbo does get some wrist time and I love it, but not the same love I have for the 5980/1a. What do you guys think?
Poll: New acquisition input
First, I'd just like to say this: The new TRF Patek forum has the same impact as the Rolex discussion forums. Serious case of what I call Watch Acquisition Syndrome (WAS). We all need help and this is the most dysfunctional group therapy session ever. Anyway, I want to get some input on my next PP purchase.I'm looking at the following:* 5140P or J: I fear it is too close in appearance to my 5146P, which I absolutely love and am unlikely to get rid of (among the reasons is the beautiful dial finish/color, unique to that model). But I love the watch for its functionality.* 5960P (gray dial): A modern PP icon. Beautiful. Some people say, Well the chronograph function is useless to most. Get a Patek 5205. No. I don't care. I'll use it to time eggs or something.Champagne problems for sure. Options I've discarded:* 5270G: Amazing watch. Totally different price point. Would be difficult to justify to my fiance and to a certain extent, myself. I'm relatively young (32), and something tells me
