Powerful Blue Piece Uniques By Patek Philippe, F.P. Journe, & Voutilainen For Only Watch 2015
Several more of the piece unique watches for the Only Watch 2015 charity watch auction have been revealed today, including these models from Patek Philippe, F.P. Journe, and Kari Voutilainen. Only Watch itself seems to be doing nothing, but rather, Bacs & Russo at Phillips is not only managing the information releases for the event, but also the auction itself. This is one of the first major events for Bacs & Russo and they are trying to make as big a splash as possible.High-end watch makers Patek Philippe, F.P. Journe, and Kari Voutilainen aren't new to the Only Watch auction game, and their Only Watch 2015 entries will likely be stars of the show. Basically, a Patek Philippe always steals the event with wild prices for their piece unique models. For Only Watch 2013 (the most recent event), the Patek Philippe 5004T in titanium went for almost 3,000,000 Euros. Patek's entry this year is a version of the discontinued 5016 in steel. According to Patek Philippe, the 5016 stopped b

Finally got to my first ever Omega and I have to say, I simply love it :-)
Thank you everyone on this forum, who has helped to influence my decisions. Back from deployment hence the absence from the site. After deciding to buy an Omega PO and doing some very quick research. I let my wife know what I wanted, she agreed. So then went on the hunt for an Ad who could make the deal sweeter. Found the AD and they made the deal sweet enough, however I missed the mail for the day. Being an impatient WIS, I then decided to take a drive and collect my new workhorse in person. I tried on the 45.5mm and it took up my whole wrist, so then decided to stick with the 42.5. Tried the orange bezel, but decided against it, then tried the orange markers with black bezel. Again it somehow just did not look right. So in the end being conservative stuck to black on white markers.Sized up perfectly. I always thought that my GMT IIc TT sat perfectly. But the PO sits in the flat on my wrist with minimal movement. A nice heft to it similar to a gold daytona. So here are some
Am I the only idiot who has done this with a PAM strap?
Okay I'll admit it, I'm a bonehead , but I can't be the only dummy out there can I? I've got a PAM 121 and a Breitling 01 LE and both have 22m lugs. So with warmer weather approaching, I thought I'd save my OEM Bretiling leather band from some sweat/wear by using a cheap eBay strap that I bought for my PAM, tubes and all. So I looked at the band and the only thought I had was yep, the springbars will fit through there. A minute later, the band is on and I'm one happy camper! Then I started messing around with it and thought that maybe I'd try a different colored band. Then while trying to remove it, it dawned on me that while the band compresses, the tube doesn't. I'm stuck with this band on my Breitling until I cut it off . OMG the only saving grace is that I did it with a $25 eBay band and not my brown OEM Panerai band (which would look great on the Breitling) that was about $400.Moral of the story--use straps made for Panerai watches with tubes on Panerai watches only. Hope
Incoming🇬🇧.....my AD is awesome!
Got the call on Wednesday, AD said they would keep it aside they didn't require deposit, however I insisted on paying a deposit to ensure it wasn't going to anyone else! They also had a GMTII on display and a non date sub in the safe that I just missed out on.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
