WatchTime’s June App Now Available
In this issue Joe Thompson profiles Swatch Group CEO Nick Hayek, who is not happy with the current state of watch retailing in America, and he lets us know it. Our Baselworld roundup looks at new watches from the world’s largest watch show. We enlist a dive instructor to help us test four diver’s watches, and we test new models from Panerai and Seiko. We take a close-up look at Vacheron’s new World Time watch – the first ever to display all 37 of the world’s time zones. Plus iPad exclusives: 71 image galleries, 11 videos and 43 web links. Beyond enhanced content, WatchTime’s iPad app lets you search, navigate between pages quickly, display all pages as thumbnails, bookmark pages, read in landscape or portrait mode, zoom text and images, view pages as text only, and read online or off. To Switzerland For SIHH and GTE 2010
Maybe a surprise to you, but this is going to be my first trip to Switzerland. Today I embark on a (frustratingly long) flight to Geneva for two important shows. First is the highly exclusive SIHH 2010, put on indirectly by the Richemont Group to celebrate mostly its brands. This gala style event is apparently very high-class, and of course, as always, "by invitation only." I do consider myself lucky having be asking to attend. There I will mingle and see new for 2010 releases of many brands, just a few of which are Audemars Piguet (not part of Richemont), A. Lange & Sohne, Cartier, Panerai, Vacheron Constantin, Greubel Forsey (also not part of Richemont I understand), Van Cleef & Arpels, Richard Mille (not part of Richemont), IWC, and many more! There is also the high-end independent watch maker show known as the Geneva Time Exhibition, that I will be attending. Another load of great watch makers will be here including, but not limited to, Alain Silberstein, Linde Werdelin, HD3

Three months ago I sold my Rolex Sub C Date, a watch that almost never left my wrist for the two-and-a-half years I had it, for quick cash after buying a new Harley and realizing something had to go (I know, life is tough..cough..cough...ahem). Since then I've had watch-lust; longing for a fine timepiece on my wrist. A few days ago I satisfied the lust and visited my trusted Rolex and Omega AD and got a Seamaster Professional Diver
New to the forums finally got a Speedmaster
Hello.Been lurking a long time while searching for an affordable 176.0012 Speedmaster, and I finally found one.It showed up today and all is good except the bracelet is too small for my fat wrist. I have adjusted it to it's biggest size, but still, no luck.Doing some research I have found new bracelets available, but I was hoping to find extra links for mine instead (if possible). Thanks for any help in advance. For reference, here are some pics from the auction site which are better than anything I could take.
Patek 5980/1R
Whilst on my travels in Florence I visited the PP dealer on the Ponte Vecchio and a very kind sales woman showed me a 5980/1R that had just arrived that morning! She explained that it will never be put in the window and that it will only be brought out to people showing interest in the Nautilus range or offered to their best customers. She also explained that they get one SS model of a few references a year which are sold to her top Italian customers. A cool story I thought I would share, if you ever get the chance I would highly recommend visiting! There is also a quirky AP Boutique on the bridge.
