The wait is over and the Sebastian Loeb watch by Marvin is here. Loeb is a World Rally Champion race driver. I saw some concept art for the watch early on, and now the final piece has been released (actually there will be two models). Following a tradition of many race themed timepieces, the Loeb watch spins a new yarn on the idea of a timepiece linked to the world of motor sports. The piece looks as though it was made from miniature parts taken right out of a rally car parts pin. An interesting mixture of concepts to yield a piece that tasteful but visually indicative of its cause.As Loeb is a rally car champion driver, the watch pays homage to timepieces in this range. The most noticeable design element is the "shock absorber" springs on lugs that actually to function as part of the system that "wraps" the straps around your wrist. Which Nautilus to really balance out the collection?
Hi All,As you can see, my current collection consists of a '68 Omega Speedmaster Professional (Transitional), Patek Philippe Annual Calendar, Pre-ceramic Rolex GMT Master II, Vacheron Constantin Patrimony, and currently a Panerai Luminor 1950 3-day automatic. Since getting my AC and Patrimony, I have found that the PAM is just too big and heavy to be comfortable so am now considering to flip it and buy a Nautilus. Many of the pictures that I have seen of that watch tend to make it look quite big as well but I recently had a chance to try it on and was amazed at how comfortable it wears on the wrist. It can also be dressed up better than the PAM. I am convinced this is the way to go but am now debating between the 5711 blue, 5711 white, or the 5712. The 5711 blue seems to be the iconic watch (and I have seen numerous polls here to suggest that is the better choice) but I also really like the look of the white as well. Looking to get my first Patek
Thank you in advance and sorry for a new thread, but most of the ones I saw regarding this started with asking advice regarding a couple of watches. I wanted to keep it broader.I am looking to add a Patek to my watches. I have a Deep Sea Dweller and a GMT (same year I was born) and a Cartier Tank that was my grandfathers. I am 6'7 and the Deep Sea Dweller looks like a normal watch on me..haha. My wife actually works for Tiffany so I would love a co-brand if I could find one but not set on that.Will probably try to buy a pre-owned but not 100%. Budget is up to 45k but will consider anything.From reading pretty much every thread here on Patek, it seems that people either say get what I love (problem being I pretty much love them all) and/OR Nautilus, blue dial SS :)I justify my lust with thinking that collectibility will retain investment, so I am 100% interested in items with good resale and collectibility.Sorry for the book and thank you so much in advance.
