Timex Intelligent Quartz Linear Chronographs
As any watch nerd knows, TImex is one of those brands that reliably drops fun, unexpected and altogether affordable watches on a regular basis. The last time we brought them up was when we had a hands-on with the Expedition Military Field, which to this day offers perhaps the best style:price ratio out there. Stepping up quite a bit in price for Timex, though still in the very affordable range in terms of watches, is the Intelligent Quartz series. These watches are particularly cool as they offer interesting functionality, from altimeters to compasses to retrograde chronographs, and still have pretty decent looks. For those who remember the now defunct Timex TX line of higher priced watches, these watches might seem familiar, as they appear to be recycling/re-imagining those movements at a lower price point.Timex recently, and quietly, released a cool addition to the Intelligent Quartz series with the Linear Chronograph line. Omega in the world of watches
First of all, a few disclaimers:-I have limited knowledge of the Omega brand-I've never owned an Omega timepiece-I am familiar with all of the other brands to some extent (Rolex, PP, AP, JLC, etc.)Now, please take this with a grain of salt if you must, but after drooling over the Seamaster 300 (the vintage inspired one with a Master Co-Axial movement), I was literally shocked at the price tags that these beautiful watches are commanding. $7500 CAD for a starter model in stainless steel, up to $75,400 for the platinum version. Is it fair that they're charging more than what a new SS Sub is worth for this model? Is it fair that you can get a Rolex PM Sub for half the cost of that PT Omega Seamaster 300? And I mean fair simply in the sense that: Can they justify charging these prices? If so, how?I am curious to hear your responses. And I'm paying attention, because I can't shake the thought of owning one of those SS Seasmaster 300's, despite the price tag!!!
Can someone advise on this Patek
I am not really interested in this watch unless I can get it cheap, but what the heck is the seller getting at with the way he describes it.....or is it me. How was this converted? What model is this thing and do you think it's real. With all that said you can guess it's an eBay listing....231805966288Thanks
Question to Houstonians
Hello fellow Houstonians. As you know this fourth largest and one of the fastest growing cities in US does not have Patek retailer (Tiffany though). Do you have any news when this might change? Thanks
