Jake Bourdeau, better known as Jake B on the watch forums, has become the biggest name in the international Seiko watch modding community. After the company founder and Jake's mentor Noah Fuller (the creator of the Tsunami watch) died in 2011, Jake has made it his mission to build on Noah's legacy.Right now his company Dagaz Watch Ltd. based in Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong is in the middle of preparing the release of the Typhoon, a modern take on one of the most iconic dive watches ever, the Seiko 6105-8110. Fans have been patiently waiting to get their hands on a custom or Classic version of the Typhoon since it was announced in fall of 2012. I have been using a Orbita Belino watch winder for over 11 years now on my Rolex Serti Sub. My Rolex has been either on my wrist or in the winder for its entire 11 year life. My Rolex keeps the same +3 seconds a day today as it did when new and the watch has never been opened up. So you could say I am a advocate for using a good watch winder set at its proper setting. Not all watch winders are the same quality. Poorly made watch winders have been shown to magnetize the watches main spring over time. You will not be happy if that happens. Stick with a quality brand winder like Orbita, Wolf, etc... You can find a great single winder from these companies for under $300.00 dollars. An intriguing opportunity just came up and I would love to get your opinions/comments on this. Would you flip a Lange WG Perpetual Calendar for a PP 5146g with enough funds leftover to acquire either a 5164 Travel Time or 5712-1A. There would still be approx $6k coming back to me. I should mention that I have owned the Aquanaut 5164 and 5712-1a in the past. I am also well aware of the fact that this is a PP forum.
