Grand Seiko Spring Drive Chronograph GMT SBGC013 Limited Edition Watch
As a 55th anniversary piece in celebration of the first Grand Seiko watch produced in 1960, Seiko today has announced a new limited edition Grand Seiko sport watch - and it's quite lovely. One important thing to note about this new Grand Seiko watch is that the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Chronograph GMT SBGC013 is the first Grand Seiko watch to incorporate ceramic into the case construction. The bezel of the watch is in "deep black" ceramic which, of course, is a material that is much more scratch resistant than steel.The rest of the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Chronograph GMT SBGC013 case is in titanium, and at its core, this is one of the brand's older, yet more interesting sport watch models that Seiko developed in order to display the versatility of their Spring Drive movement collection. The movement is the caliber 9R96 automatic Spring Drive Chronograph GMT movement made in-house at Seiko's Shinshi Watch Studio. Too bad it's not a new watch hahaI'm on a business trip to Taipei and China and first day of arrival i dropped in AP Boutique at Taipei 101 looking for a short rubber strap for my 44mm FC. To my surprised, the rep told me they have in stock a short gator strap for GP (like Eddie Choi). Couldn't resit so i bought it on the spot. Check it out... this strap wears like a dream. very comfortable and easy to change size in this horrible humid environment. So which one you guys like better? Rubber or Gator? Another surprised is next week AP will hold an exhibition in Taipei 101 to showcase all of their new models. Will definitely post more images next week...Here are two new models that i tried on... The orange on the diver is actually really nice in person for those who's considering it.The 44mm ceramic was one of the model i was considering when purchasing the 44mm FC. After seeing it in person, i am extremely happy i went with the FC.

Incoming Restoration Ref 570
I have sent a couple of vintage Patek watches to Geneva for a full restoration. I just got the call that HSWA has one of the two. It's a Ref 570. I give you the before photo today.
