Subdial question for the Speedy experts!
Hello Folks, I have a ref 3565.80.00. Sometimes like to leave the chronograph seconds hand in the 730pm position so that the printing at 12oclock is readable. Otherwise is partially blocked when the hand is at rest. Is it bad to run the chronograph, stop it but not reset the dials back to 12 oclock - then leave it like that indifinately?
New Panerai PAM 572
I just purchased a brand new Radiomir 1940 45mm PAM 572 with the newer Automatic mechanical movement, P.4000 calibre, executed entirely by Panerai, 13 lignes, 3.95 mm thick, 31 jewels, Glucydur balance, 28,800 alternations/hour. KIF Parechoc anti-shock device. Power reserve 3 days, two barrels. 203 components. The movement features the Off - centered oscillating weight micro- rotor design which makes the movement much slimmer. This design is similar to the distinctive micro-rotors inside many of the Patek Philippe automatic movementsI synced the watch, which also has the seconds hacking feature, with NIST Standard Government Time over 10 days ago. I just re-checked the watch and am very happy to report that is is within less than 1 second of the current SYNC time !!!!I wear the watch every day and rest it in the crown up position at night. I have not wound the watch since I re-set the time to daylight savings time on November 1st. I think that is pretty good perfo
Five years since I bought a watch... Explorer 1 vs Milgauss
Okay. It's been five years since I bought a watch. For me this is a big deal.I'm toying and torn between an Explorer 1 and a blue Milgauss. On the one hand we have understatement on the other we have blue, green and orange. I like both. It'll be a daily wearer, it'll get a bit wet and I won't fret if there's a scratch or two ... stuff happens.Views and reviews from long-term owners of either welcome. Let the enablement begin.PS: other watches of note in the box are a Mark XV pilot from IWC and a PAM372, although this latter may be the sacrifice to sanity and economics.
