Love/Hate Relationship with AP
I seem to developing a love/hate relationship with AP and maybe even haute horology in general. On one hand, my favorite all-time watch is my 25860 ROC. There's just something about seeing that bracelet and the hexagonal bezel screws on your wrist. Nothing quite like it to me.On the other hand, there is service. As chronicled here (), I had some service-related issues with this watch after a full movement service in late 2014. Then this fall I noticed some slippage of the crown while winding and eventually I could not wind via the crown. So I sent it back in to Clearwater. Today I got a call from Betsy to go over the $3100 estimate. The hairspring was out of place and they say it needed to be replaced and well as the rotor. They asked me if anyone opened the case and I said absolutely not, because it just had a fairly recent full service. And I said that I thought they put stuff on the screws so they can tell if someone opened it anyway (I didn't really get any acknowledgement
For the 1st time, I am not happy with AP
Yeah I know. It's a common problem and easily fixed. But it's still annoying to have to go down to APSC to get it done. Sorry for the...
Wow! I love this dial!
I'm relatively new to Omegas and I was completely unaware of this model until today. I was at my AD and checking out their preowned collection. This watch immediately caught my attention and I can't even describe how cool I think this dial is. If anyone has a chance to check this out, I'd recommend trying it on. I believe it's referred to as the Aventurine dial. Here is the wristshot I took.
Rolex Dealers in Aruba
Hello Everyone, I will be heading to Aruba in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with any ADs on the Island recently. Any recommendations for anything else to do on the island would also be appreciated. Thank you!
Just a friendly reminder
Currently I have my BLNR on an Everest strap. While giving the watch and band a little soapy bath, I noticed the screw was loose on my tang buckle. It is now tightened and secured with a little loctite. Make sure to check your bands And a picture just for fun.
