Orbita Casetta Gets Rotorwind System
Orbita’s Casetta watchwinder is now available with their patented Rotorwind System. The Casetta is available as a free-standing module or housed in a Brazilian Rosewood case with a high-gloss lacquer finish. The suede-lined cases are fitted with gold-plated quadrant hinges and a beveled glass viewing window. The modules can be stacked vertically or placed side by side for multiple watches, and they require no external power – lithium batteries provide a guaranteed battery life of 5 years. The module itself is covered in Camel or Black synthetic suede and finished with a brushed stainless steel rear panel. Inside a Swiss-designed ironless core motor initiates the oscillating winding action of the Rotorwind System, which is entirely self-regulating. Every 10 minutes throughout the day, the built-in microprocessor activates the servo motor causing the watch to swing back and forth for several oscillations, as if it were being worn on the wrist. The Casetta Module measures 5-1/8&
CYMA Navy Star GMT Skin Diver 2009 Watch
Here is my first time talking about the CYMA watch brand. If you are in the US like me, you've likely never heard of it. Way to ignore yet another good market CYMA! I am gonna just spell it Cyma for now. So this is their new Navy Star collection watch. The timepiece will come in at least four varieties (quartz/automatic mechanicals), and in various colors. There will also be various PVD versions. Just saying that so that you don't think the pictured watch is the only one they offer. Regardless, I really like the pictured model being their automatic GMT model. Oh, and I think Cyma calls this watch their "Skin Diver." Which makes me think of someone skinny dipping with only this watch and a smile on.Navy Star watches are Cyma's diver watch line. The models mix styles from many popular diver watches out there combing with a unique hybrid. The little details are the best like the textured dial, nicely crafted rotated bezel with the numbers in relief, as well as the complex looking crown. T
My Favorite Ball Watches At JCK, Big And Lots Of Lume
Ball watches have been really popular that last few years ago and are probably the nicest watches (at least from a price perspective) to feature tritium gas tubes in their watches. All of their watches feature the wonder lume, that is made exclusively by MB Microtec in Switzerland. They are small tubes filled with (safe) radioactive material. Ball watches probably makes the best use out of them versus other companies I know to use the luminant. The best part is that they don't need any light to charge and glow for like 25 years.I am not going to go into much detail when talking about these watches as there are too many of them, and you can get lots of little details about each watch from Ball directly.? Careful though. You might be drawn to tears! Last time I was at their site they started playing Amazing Grace. So I saw these watches last June in Las Vegas at the JCK show. These are my favorite of the Ball watches that I was able to see there. Overall these are some very nice watches
First AP and its DOA
I recently decided i wanted to add another watch to my collection. I was considering a Rolex Yachtmaster II but have always admired the unique look of the AP Royal Oak Offshore collection. I shopped around and was originally considering an AP ROO Diver (silver), then an AP ROO Diver (blue). In the end i decided to splurge and get the one i really want.. the AP ROO Chrono Navy. The watch arrived this morning 10/26/17 shipped direct from a local AD.
Rare Omega 'fifa' on the bay
Just a heads up. There is a pretty cool Omega on e.bay that I've never come across before.Similar size case to the Chronostop Seamaster at 44mm incl crown (might even be the same case) but PVD'd. Grey and yellow dial.Omega have done a few tie-in's with FIFA over the years (none of which are particularly popular), but this is quite a rare beast and the only one I've ever come across.?750 might be a bit steep as a buy-in-now though.Bidding started at ?100 and I've had a cheeky snipe at it, but reserve still isn't met and my paypal account isn't stretching much further!Have a look even if you have no intention of bidding, its a pretty cool watch.
