Watches NEWS
It is worth the wait!
Thank you everyone who gave me advice here. After contemplating on several models for weeks, I've made my decision this past weekend. Gotta admit, choosing only one AP is not easy. Each reference have something unique to offer. But this particular reference is the one that caught my attention when I first got introduced to AP, and it has everything that I'm looking for in a SS watch. Unfortunately, it's a discontinued model so none of the ADs in town have it when I finally made my decision. When I was out of town this past weekend. I happen to visit an AD. When I walked in, I immediately saw it in the display. I knew right away that this could be the day I've been waiting for. Once again, I've tried on the other options that I've been considering. Luckily they have pretty much all my other options in stock. After trying them on one by one, side by side, I knew that this is the one. No discounts. No freebies. But they offered a beverage and gave me an amazing customer service. IMG_383
My First Omega - Decided on the SM 300M
I have been swamped with work and haven't been on the forum as much lately, but thought I'd share an incoming that I'm totally excited about. I've been missing a sports watch since letting go of my SD4K and 16610LV Kermit, and so have started to look for something I can wear with minimal worries. I debated on picking up a no date SubC or maybe the new Black Bay Black, but then came across this SM 300M Master Co-Axial. Completely fell in love with the vintage styling and paired with the very nicely finished Co-Axial 8400 movement. Fits well on the wrist and even comes with a bracelet adjustment that is comparable to Glidelock (I've been spoiled by glidelock and I don't think I can ever own another bracelet watch without an adjustment function). Overall I was really impressed and couldn't resist bringing it home. This is actually my first Omega as well and couldn't be happy I picked this. I always thought my first Omega would be a Speedy Pro but I think for a sports watch the dive
5164 has to go. Big trade alert!
Some of you may know I can't help myself when it comes to flipping. I'm sad to say it's time for my 5164 to go. I can count the number of times on one hand that I've worn it and I will also be selling off most of my other watches to obtain a grail piece. What is this grail you ask? What if I told you I had found the perfect casual watch? I love jeans. Who doesn't love jeans? Possibly the only things better than jeans are diamonds and rose gold!Boom! I predict after sharing some quality snaps many will follow suit with me and flip for this casual masterpiece. Should be arriving momentarily via FedEx!
Beer , jerky ( or biltong) and Pateks. 3 essentials to enjoying life
Hot and sunny here in London so the 5167 wanted to head over to the local brewery for a few pints of 1908... The beer that's been brought out for the 2012 Olympics, based on the 1908 London Olympics recipe (pun intended)
Pepsi 16710 and life is now complete
Forgive the hyperbole but man this watch is perfect and has amazing feel on the wrist. Iconic for good reason; as prices keep climbing, so glad to have acquired one to call my ownPic 1: at the job site in southern Manitoba. Cold as sh!t !!Pic 2: Love the 14060 but... yeah, the GMT II is
