TAG Heuer Monaco V4 No. 1 for Only Watch
In 2004, TAG Heuer created the revolutionary Monaco V4 Concept Watch. Inspired by the brand's motor racing heritage (the watch's name comes from the racing-engine-like V-formation of the movement's four barrels), the V4 uses ball bearings and is belt-driven C a totally new type of watch movement. The Monaco V4 is the first mechanical watch movement to replace traditional pinions with driving belts. The pinions of the traditional mechanical movement have been replaced with a relay of five driving belts whose tension is controlled by turnbuckles. A unique linear automatic winding system is used to reload energy. The oscillating weight which generally supplies the energy for an automatic watch has been replaced by a linear oscillating weight. In the Monaco V4 this is a 12g tungsten ingot that moves up and down on a track between the four spring barrels. The system of teeth on the long side of the weight engages a toothed wheel and translates the linear movement into a rotating movement.Th
AP Openworks Skeleton 15305ST.OO.1220ST.01
I decided my next piece is going to be the AP Openworks Skeleton --- preferably the steel with a bracelet and looking for early spring. Seems like these are not too easy to find. Any possible leads ... My decision is based on the fact that I have had this one on my short list for some time and it keeps growing on me. I do not own nothing like a skeleton.. My only other AP is the AP ROO Chrono so i am familiar with AP. Most of my pieces are Patek and I do not own any Rolex. I generally like a watch that has a few complications and this one is quite the opposite but it has visual activity and that is a turn on for me.
What year is this watch...?
Searching on the internet there seems to be some inconsistencies regarding dates & serial numbers. I even wrote Omega in Switzerland and they were evasive in their 'non-answer'.Any seasoned veterans have a take on my info?Model No. 2255.80Serial No. (on rear lug) 80528xxxThanks!
Omega Anti-Magnetic Watch
Ive read the Omega version puts the Milgauss to shame in terms of how anti magnetic it is. Saw some pics of it yesterday. Does anyone know for sure when the boutiques will start getting them in and how much they'll be in US $? Thanks
Movement Peak-a-boo
I just bought a Rolex 6422 and I want to see the movement. If I unscrew the back will it no longer be water proof? Will I need a new gasket? I have documentation from the Watch Buyers Group out of Pasadena that the watch is genuine but, I want to see for myself.
