Suunto Triathalon Collection t6c Red Arrow & t3c Black Arrow Watches
Suunto doesn't make just "watches," but rather "wrist-top computers." This new line of watches has been designed in partnership with the International Triathlon Union (ITU). That means the watches have been designed for some serious and specific training use. The traditional training watch was light weight, had some timing functions, and that is it. Later models enjoyed such functions like heart rate monitors, and other cool functions. But the Suunto t6c Red Arrow is light years ahead of the "past." The watch is part of an optional modular system of "Pods," which are units that are GPS devices, or others that fit on shoes, bicycles, etc.. .to help measure distance and cadence. In addition to all this available data, the t6c Red Arrow takes all this information together and has some clever software that not only logs and plots it for you, but helps to calculate calories burned, Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC), and Training Benefit (which is a measurement of the aerobic be

Picture taken from google. As said, what are your thoughts regarding this model? I particularly liked the one with blue seconds hand. It's quite big, I think as large as a DSSD, but slightly thinner. Will it be an iconic watch? Will it bore me? Will it hold value if I decided to sell it?Any thoughts welcome! :)
My fathers new Patek 5170G

All 8 days
Hi all... I've rejoined rolex forum, though I'm into many watch brands except Rolex. I own JLC, Panerai, IWC, Longines and Omega. I need to add an 8-day Pam to the collection (and a 5711/1A-010 PP), for function, so I thought of starting a thread dedicated to starting a conversation on this functional movement(s). Though I need help from the pros here with a list of all 8-day pams available, to get the conversation going on pros and cons, collectability and likeability by all paneristis.... cheers
Fedex Shipping Insurance
Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I recently sold a watch here on the forum, and I went into a Fedex store to ship it. I asked for insurance to cover the value of the watch ($5,000) and was told they only provide coverage up to $1,000. I was somewhat surprised as their website indicated otherwise. I called another Fedex office in another city and was told the same thing.....$1,000. So, I wound up using USPS.Some sellers on here use Fedex insured shipping, so I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience.
