Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore GINZA7 Watches
The March 2011 series of disasters in Japan really sucked for them, and it still sucks for them. It was like a triple play of Armageddon leaving even Godzilla offering to help pick up the rubble. Joking aside, much of Japan is in bad shape? - though the country is help together by the people's pride and cultural ability to survive and thrive after disaster strikes. As is the case with most all natural disasters, entities both private and public come to help. Corporations like to hold special events or create special products to aid recovery causes. Are these actions commercially driven? Sure, but it is the thought that counts right. Japan has always been a healthy market for Audemars Piguet and now, about six months after the fact when Japan is still in recovery mode, AP has launched two money raising charity programs. Oh, and worth noting is that Audemars Piguet will not charge for labor fixing any AP watches that may have been damaged as an effect of the disaster in Japan. Check with
Romain Jerome Titanic DNA Chca Is Melty Face Watch
I do applaud Romain Jerome for being so ballsy and avant garde. They have made some nice one-off or limited edition pieces that spit in the face of fellow Swiss who are highly conservative most of the time - especially in terms of watch design. Actually, even Romain Jerome's non limited edition watches are "special." Love them or hate them you have to appreciate their niche and determination to be different.? However, that doesn't mean I have to love everything they make. This new special "art" watch by French artist Andr Chca is a bit much for me. It is one of those things that I freely admit not liking, but appreciate the artistic endeavors behind it, and that it exists. As though I wouldn't get pissed about it being in a museum ("That isn't art, I could do that!"), but I would openly discuss my distaste for it ("My lord this piece tickles the vomit enticing regions of my gullet").According to Chca, the watch is meant to appear like the "tortured" pieces of metal that lay thousand
Is the 26120st being discontinued
I saw a 26120st at the AD in Abu Dhabi yesterday. Incredible watch. It felt very good on my wrist as well.I'm not in the market for a new watch at the moment, but the salesman said they wouldn't be getting anymore of these in. Are they being discontinued? The sticker price was 73K AED (about 22,300 USD).
Intro - New(ish) member and his two Omegas
Greetings. Just created my profile a few days ago, so thought I should introduce myself here on Omega, and share pics of my two Omega pieces. My Aqua Terra was my first mechanical watch. It was a gift from my wife while we were visiting the island of St. Martin in 2004 (wow, time flies). As we left the store with my new Omega on my wrist, I claimed this is the last watch I'll ever need, honey. Oops.A couple of years later, I noticed my Rolex AD was wearing a beat-up old Speedmaster one day. I bought it as-is, and sent to RGM for overhaul/restoration. Love my Speedmaster!
Why buy a damaged Bezel insert ?
I seem to be preoccupied with damaged Rolex items that keep appearing on a well know auction site..... don't get me wrong I retain parts that come off my watches for sentimental reasons, I just cant seriously cant believe that these 2 can be repaired (unless told other wise) so unless junk parts floats your boat what use are they?
