Happy day AP fanatics of TRF!
Just wishing you guys and girls a happy 4th to those here in the U.S. and just another happy day to the others all around the TRF world. After a brutal last 4 weeks at work we were able to get away to one of my favorites, the four seasons in palm beach. Had to bring some watches along for the ride of course! Rolf....Fortunate to be spread out on the beach with my wife next to me and be surfing TRF at the moment. Hot as hell here!I fear thehighlander and hairdude have spiked my curiosity in this bad boy..... Went to check it out yesterday at the bal Barbour boutique! Patek 3940J any thoughts?
I have sold my 5164 (which I only owned for barely 4 months and didn't quite speak to me) today and am eyeing to replace it with a 3940J. I already have a 5146G, 3738G, 5712/1A, and 2 white gold Rolex day-dates 1803.Could I please have your thoughts on this piece (philippe stern wore the gold dial dore version for decades). Hi Gents, first I want to express my thanks for all your help and expert advise on my recent thread looking for a bona fide dress watch. I've looked at the IWC Portuguese 7-day, new JLC master calendar, as well as the Calavatra line such as the 5119G, 5127G, and the 5196G to name a few. But it was love at first sight when I saw the Gondolo 5111G-001 at my AD recently. It was absolutely gorgeous and in unworn condition. This is a piece that you certainly don't see too often. I especially love it's modern interpretation of the art deco style and it's old-time craftsmanship. So without too much fanfare, here it is on my wrist today. PS: This will my last incoming for a long while....
