Parmigiani Tonda 1950 Squelette Watch For Men & Women
Now, Parmigiani jumps on the skeletonized-thin-dress-watch boat, with their Parmigiani Tonda 1950 Squelette C a rather handsome new timepiece that will be debuted at SIHH 2015, with a version for men and another for women. watches-dealer originally debuted the Tonda 1950 back when Parmigiani released it in 2010 here. Agreeably attractive, the graceful shape of the Parmigiani Tonda 1950 combined comfort, legibility, thin-size, and a superb in-house automatic movement with a micro-rotor.At 39mm wide, the Tonda 1950 is, and was always, considered a unisex watch. Parmigiani was never shy about offering it as a women's piece, when dressed up with a mother-of-pearl dial and diamonds decorating the bezel. 39mm wide is a good size for formal attire such as a tuxedo, but we have always felt that Parmigiani would be wise to release a larger sized Tonda 1950 in something like a 42mm wide case for men who prefer slightly larger watches. The Parmigiani Tonda 1950 fits so snugly on the wrist you bar

Produced in 1973, the watches were originally meant to be sold by Porsche car dealers for Porsche drivers, but they have over the years, due to popularity, spread to other distribution outlets.
Patek 5396 vs Rolex BLRO
Hi guys, I just wanted to get a feel from the Patek community. I am considering either Patek 5396 vs BLRO. I know they are very different watches and serve different purposes. I already have a GMTII TT and SubC, so want to venture out to Patek. I spoke with someone at an AD (mistake? haha) and they did say that the Pateks in general are delicate than rolexes. How true is this? I know rolexes are tool watches and durable. I simply don't want to wait months for watch to be in service. In addition, I'm looking for a nice clean dress watch. The BLRO is very nice in person, and I don't want to spend money on both. Thoughts? As a background, I have to take my watch off all the time for work. I also don't want a watch to sit in a safe all the time. Thanks in advance.Other Pateks I am considering are 5205, 5146.

This post has been a little more than a week in the making.... I recently acquired my someday watch and frankly have been through the gambit of emotions since then. My first 'real' timepiece was a Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5065 that I acquired in 1999 at the ripe old age of 30. This was my first exposure to Patek Philippe and I was just smitten by the watch - with its see-through caseback and funky dial with matching tropical strap. Purchasing the watch from an AD, I started receiving the Patek Philippe Magazine and determined that my someday watch would be a complication from Patek. Over the past couple of years, I acquired a Rolex GMT II (fantastically robust timepiece) and a JLC Grand Reverso Ultra Thin Duoface Bleu (a classic design with two faces that can be set independently). Several months ago, I decided it was time to acquire a perpetual calendar, so I looked seriously at the new JLC MUT perpetual and the JLC Master 8 Day perpetual. Both are incredible watches and outstanding va
