Audemars Strategy
As many others, I have been recently on a fruitless search for a 15202. Local ADs are not getting any, boutiques are not adding names to waitlists and all while trying to push gold models to kickstart the relationship, etc. You know the drill. Recently, I came across this interview to Audemars' CEO in SIHH 2018 which outlays the Company's mid-term strategy, it is very interesting (you might have seen it already):- Tighter control of the distribution channel: no Ads, boutique only sales. - E-commerce selectively starting by the end of 2018.- New line of watches in 2019, to be produced at the expense of Royal Oaks.- Fixed production volume of 40,000 watches both in 2018 and 2019.- 2020, new growth phase, slight increase of production.- Plans to enter the certified preowned market.So, obviously, the situation with the classic jumbo is not expected to change at all neither this year, or next. But, would you foresee that finally in 2020 you will be able to walk into a Boutique and place you

Patek's platinum case finishing
Hello Everyone,i was wondering did anyone also noticed that the polishing finishing on the platinum cases are different then the gold versions ? Especially on some of the cases with sharper lines/angels like the 5070 and 5975 cases.Here you see a big difference on the WG and PT versions of the 5070. The PT even looks like a polished used case compared to the WG. You can notice this on every picture of the 5070P comparing with the gold versions.And here a comparison of the 5975P with the 5975G also less sharp polished.But if you compare it with Rolex Platinum versions, for example the Platinum Daytona compared with the WG version. The PT Daytona even looks to be beter finished then the gold versions.Maybe this has something to do with the hand finishing of the cases at Patek ? Because platinum is very hard to work with. But for a brand like Patek and the money you spent on the PT versions, you would think of a better finishing if the cases ?Still love the brand and most of the time the

Not another can I wear it...
Hi folks,We my bet half and friend we are renting a Villa in Croatia over summer. My question is, how sand sea resistant against scratches is the 904L from the sub?I will definitely remove the bracelet and wear my LV on a NATO or an Erikas Original. But what about the watch head? Datejust - water / steam
Probably ridiculous questions, but with my luck I guess ill ask so I don't regret later. So I don't have a sports rolex watch like a sub, YM or GMT - which I guess are on a totally different level, I do have breitling superocean which I swam with many times and that watch is a tank. However with the new datejust I am a little skeptical. Is it safe to take it out for a swim in pool / ocean? Obviously no one can predict if bracelet links will come off, but rather in terms of water-proofness? Second question, wearing it in sauna - is that safe, in terms of steam entering the watch thru the seals?
