Omega Watchmaker in Atlanta?
Sorry if I've posted this to the wrong forum, but please let me know if you have a recommendation for a watchmaker in Atlanta for Omegas (hopefully certified, although I'm not sure what that means outside of an official service center). I have a great white (that I love) that isn't behaving well. I posted this to the tech forum here at TRF and only got one response. Thanks in advance. Feel free to pm me if a public response is somehow inappropriate.Weirdcuba / Jim HarveyOmega Great WhiteOmega AT 2500Rolex Exp. II (White Face)PEPSI 16710!
5000 posts, Patek, TRF, and Friends
Finally hit 5,000 posts (small potatoes relative to many prolific posters here). TRF is a great forum with even BETTER PEOPLE. I've made many friends here, many of whom I talk to regularly. I'd also like to say Thanks to those who have offered me advice along the way. There are many members here who have such a deep knowledge of Patek, and their willingness to share is part of what makes TRF such a wonderful forum. TRF is an invaluable resource in watch collecting. Use it that's my advice! This has been a fantastic journey so far. So, what better way to celebrate this milestone than with a posting of my first Patek, the 5712/1a. This watch will always have a special place in my collection (thankfully I realized this quickly after selling my first one - dumb move, but hey, I learned!). Here's to the next 5,000 posts and beyond. ..
Thoughts on the panerai 562 as a first panerai
Good morning gentlemen,I am a big fan of rolex but lately I seem to be attracted to panerai. I have a chance to acquire a new 562 but I am on the fence about it. I am not really careful with my watches and I love wearing them in all the time. My rolex watches have held up quite well and even cosmetically there are no really large marks on them despite having had a few close calls. I wonder if the 562, being made of titanium, will wear as well? I have read conflicting statements about how titanium watches hold their own against scratches (some say they scratch easily, while others claim self healing properties) so I thought I ask the group what their experience has been. This will be my first panerai and I would like this to be a keeper. Cheers, Carlos
2 of the best dials IMO, so shiny 😀
I just love these 2...
