Tissot Chemin Des Tourelles Squelette Watch
As a brand, Tissot really seems to be on quite a tear as of late. They have had quite a few notable new releases over the last few months, and now we are getting word of a sort of second wave. Most of them seem like reasonable additions to the lineup, but there is one in particular that caught our attention: the Tissot Chemin Des Tourelles Squelette. As you can quite readily tell from the photos here, this is a skeleton watch (and that's what squelette translates to from French C skeleton). I've been spending more time looking at and thinking about skeleton watches in the last year or so, and I have come to the conclusion that they are particularly hard to do. There are some brands that have it absolutely nailed down on the higher end of the luxury spectrum; when you start coming down closer to the realm of the "affordable" watches, things become hit-and-miss.The single biggest problem that faces a skeleton watch is readability. Since there is no dial, a lot of attention is given to the
Alain Silberstein make fabulous gifts for every occasion
But let's get back to the issue of affordability. Given the recent economic downturn, and the fact that the job market doesn't seem to be turning around any time soon, we're learning to pinch our pennies, and buying less than usual. However, just because you have less to spend doesn't mean you can't still give great gifts to those you love this year. If you're looking to give the gift of a watch to a loved one or friend in your life, Casio's a great place to start. The high-quality but affordable watches from Alain Silberstein make fabulous gifts for every occasion: birthdays, graduations, and more. Thanks to their wide selection of watches, the Alain Silberstein brand is perfect for anything you can think of: everyday wear, special occasions, and rugged, outdoor activities.
Basel '17 Leak?
Hello fellow watch lovers,I have just been on the Patek Philippe website to look at the collection, and I noticed a new watch I haven't seen before... I know the 5719/1G-001 is discontinued as of this year. Which is why I was surprised to see a 5719/10G-010 next to it on the website. Do you think its a new piece that has accidentally been uploaded? (the watch also didn't appear in this years catalogue 2016) .patek/en/mens-watches...s/5719-10G-010Any thoughts?
Looks like the Sub didn't get the 32xx movement. Buy now or wait until 2019
I've been putting off buying a SS Sub for the past month or two since we were so close to Baselworld at the time and I thought for sure a new Sub would be released with the updated 32xx movement. It looks like the 114060 will go unchanged for 2018. If you were considering a no-date Sub, would you buy now, or wait to see if 2019 models get an update? I am pretty happy with my current lineup which includes a Speedmaster as my daily. I'd love a Sub at some point, though
Rolex Yatchmaster 116621 - yay or nay?
Hey guysI'm getting this watch (116621 Yachtmaster) as a replacement for my solid gold rolex. But I'd like to know what you gentlemen think.Think of this as a dressy/hot-humid-weather watch with a bit of 'uumpph' when you want to dress it up a bit above just plain SS while still keeping it sporty.
