Ulysse Nardin Launches Marine Chronograph Manufacture With In-House Movement
Ulysse Nardin’s journey toward more in-house movement production, a stated goal of UN CEO Patrik Hoffman, continued apace at this year’s Baselworld, when the brand released the new Marine Chronograph Manufacture, its first chronograph watch with an in-house movement. The watch’s story begins last year, when Ulysse Nardin purchased the rights to Ebel’s Caliber 137, the chronograph movement that has now been renamed Ulysse Nardin Caliber 150 and manufactured exclusively by UN at its workshop in Le Locle, Switzerland. The Marine Chronograph Manufacture follows up last year’s major introduction of the Marine Chronometer Manufacture, which contained the brand’s very first in-house movement, COSC-certified chronometer Caliber Un-118.Ulysse Nardin has outfitted the original Ebel movement with its own silicon escapement, which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph; even the balance spring, made of silicon, is made in-house. Can't decide on Rolex to compliment my Sub
Right now I have a Submariner (116610LN) SS with black dial but am looking to add a 2nd one to my collection to a celebrate a recent milestone. I'm going crazy on deciding on a 2nd watch that is not too redundant (similar) to the Sub.I was eying up the Sky-Dweller but that seems too busy for my tastes, then the Milgauss but that seems too simple. I am considering the Datejust although I hear many say that looks too old and I am 29. My other concern with the DJ is the 41 inch size...I have 7 inch wrists and am worried about it looking too big. And the 36 seems too small. Ahh, can't decide! Any suggestions for a nice contrast to the Submariner?
Celebrating Christmas with my
Submariner. The 14060M COSC non-date. Not new, I purchased it NIB when they were first introduced by Rolex back in the mid 2000 era. I have not had occasion to have it serviced. It was recently checked out by the Rolex watchmaker at Wynn's Rolex boutique, and pronounced fit and healthy. I am and hope you all are as well.

These days its less in style for the younger guys (particularly in north america i would guess). that being said that TT bluesy sub is growing on me every month that goes by, am i alone? I think I need to get one, im 36...who cares right?
