Romain Jerome and CEO Yvan Arpa Part Ways
Romain Jerome has announced that it has parted ways with CEO Yvan Arpa. Also leaving the company are the head of administration, the sales director and two other staff members. No reason was given for the departures. Romain Jerome’s press release states that “…the change of management in no way jeopardizes the ongoing success of the company, which continues to enjoy excellent sales, promising order volumes and an extremely strong brand image.” Romain Jerome was founded in 2004 and Yvan Arpa joined the firm in 2006. During his tenure, Arpa created a series of eyebrow-raising timepieces including one made from pieces of the Titanic, another priced at $300,000 that did not tell the time, and for 2009 one called “The Truth About Roswell” that incorporates moon dust into the dial (pictured below). The company assures us that deliveries of the Moon Dust-DNA collection will take place according to the planned schedule.
Found: The Only Laurent Ferrier For Sale In North America (Live Pics & Details)
Did you know that Laurent Ferrier came in third place overall at the 1979 24-hours of Le Mans race? He did. And, oh yeah, he was also Creative Director of Patek Philippe at the time. Nearly three decades later he founded his eponymous brand, making small numbers of truly exceptional watches (about 150 annually). Today we have for you the only Laurent Ferrier watch currently for sale in North America, a Galet Micro-Rotor at Manfredi Jewels in Greenwich, CT.From the very first glance, the Galet Micro-Rotor is a stunner. The one we have here is white gold with a solid silver dial, and it's definitely the sort of watch that will appeal to those who like understated elegance. The 40mm case, subtly different hand shapes, the inset sub-seconds register, and the punched minutes markers all contribute to the overall appearance, while none stands out by itself.? 2 OF 16 The Galet Micro-Rotor's Stunning Movement But it's the Galet Micro-Rotor's movement that really puts it
Looking for recommendations on Leather/rubber bracelets
Hello I have a Planet Ocean43.5 mm 232.30.44.22.01.001 and want a leather or rubber band with a deployment clasp. I believe that I have 21mm lugs?Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Difficult to wind my Patek 5119j
I am finding that the manual winding is a little tight. The same is true of my Omega Speedmaster. Is that just how it is? I bought the Patek in February, it is new to me, but I have had manual winds before and it feels tight even at first.I will say it keeps time fine.
Whats the best leather/rubber straps
Does anyone have a recommendation for leather and rubber straps for my GMT's? I see a lot of talk about the Everest straps. Are they worth the money? I just have a hard time paying that much for a rubber strap. Any other brands out there that one would recommend? Or just bite the bullet and buy an Everest? What about leather?thanks people :)
