Linde Werdelin Comic Book To Help Promote Watches
Those who have been noticing Linde Werdelin watch ads and alike, are sure to recall that comic style characters that are often a big part of their image. In fact, the mysterious cast of characters and events always made me pretty curious. Was there a story? Are these singular images? What is the deal? Well Linde Werdelin is finally ready to show the world what the big deal via one of the most innovative communication campaigns the watch industry has ever soon. Linde Werdelin filled me in on the direction and plans for the new campaign. In time you'll get it all, and I am excited to share this new concept with you.It has long been known that a "story" can sell a watch. That is why brands are keen on emphasizing their history - often until you are sick of hearing about it. New brands often "buy history," by acquiring the rights to old brands are watch makers who might make a good back story for something. Speedy 60:th checked in! Some more pictures...
At the moment its resting in the box. But snapped a few pics before I tucked it down.
I got it!
Thank you to all who shared their insights over the weekend in my original thread Thoughts on the panerai 562 as a first panerai . I walked by the panerai boutique last Thursday and decided to take a look inside. When I ask the gentleman if he had any base models available, he showed me a panerai 562 C a base pam in titanium with a chocolate dial and matching alligator strap. I strapped it on and it just felt right on my wrist. Still I thought I would sleep on it and at the same time ask the folks over at TRF about the watch, since I really had no idea about panerais and titanium watches. Many in the forum shared good things about the watch, and as the weekend passed, the excitement of strapping it on again only grew more intense. I came across another panerai C a used but mint 112, an iconic model for sure. But it wasn't titanium, it wasn't a choco dial, and it didn't have a matching alligator strap. I kept thinking about getting the 112, but it just didn't stir any emotion.
Splotches/Marks on inner rim of steel under crystal
Hi Everyone,I recently purchased a GMT Master II from a reputable dealer I've done business with in the past - full kit - boxes, papers, great condition - really an excellent example of the 16710 pepsi bezel. It's an A serial and was purchased in 2000.One thing I noticed on a closer insepction upon receiving the watch, were some faint splotchy marks on the steel rim of the case, under the crystal, around the dial...almost looks like something has dried on that rim (though zero marks on the dial itself, which is it's normal shiny self). I'm attaching a photo which makes it seem much worse than it actually is, as I took it to highlight the issue. I was originally concerned about this, but then I took a look at a mid 90s Sub that a friend of mine had, and he also had some light splotching around the 1 o'clock mark...not as much as mine but still had some. Does anyone have any insight into this? What could be the cause for this? The dealer I purchased from said they would be happy to
