Close-Up: A. Lange & S?hne 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst
Germany’s A. Lange & S?hne marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Ferdinand Adolph Lange, in grand style with the recently announced 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst, a limited edition that features a technological first for the brand and sports breathtaking dial and movement decorations. Here’s what you need to know. The A. Lange & S?hne 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst stakes its claim to horological history as the first Lange watch that combines two of the brand’s patented mechanisms: a zero-reset function (introduced in a watch in 1997) and a stop-seconds device for the tourbillon (which made its debut in a 2008 model). This combination of functions, Lange says, enables the user to stop and set the watch with to-the-second accuracy.Equally as impressive as the technical feat achieved by this timepiece limited to just 30 pieces, each in a 39.5-mm rose gold case is the array of finishes employed on both interior and exterior elements. Harry Winston Ocean Triple Retrograde Chronograph Black Zalium Watch
Each year we get a new stream of interesting Harry Winston Ocean watches. Many are cool, some are strange, and some like this Ocean Triple Retrograde Chronograph watch just seem to hit a sweet spot. Release of this watch coincides with the interesting news that Harry Winston is looking to sell off their watch and jewelry making divisions. That doesn't mean the end of Harry Winston watches, but rather that someone other than Harry Winston may someday soon be making Harry Winston watches. With that comes a lot of regard as well as responsibility. For over a decade the most interesting allure to the brand has been their Opus collection of fantastic partnership creations started by Max Busser (of MB&F) when he ran the watch division at Harry Winston. While it is incredible for PR, the Opus division is expensive, highly complicated, and a huge headache to keep going (this includes finding partner watch makers, designing cool products, making prototypes in time for the show, and eventuall
Hands-On: The Greubel Forsey Signature 1, A Top-Tier Time-Only (Live Photos, Thoughts, Availability & Pricing)
At SIHH 2015, Greubel Forsey shocked us all by making a thin(ner), small(er), less expensive tourbillon called the Tourbillon 24 Seconds Vision. Now when you're talking about Greubel – arguably within top three finest watchmakers in the world – and potentially top one watchmaker in the world for median price per watch – everything is relative. By thin, I mean the 24 seconds is around 13.5 mm with a 16 mm bubble; by small, I mean it is 43.5 mm in diameter; and by inexpensive, I mean just over $300,000. But again, for a company that does not relent when it comes to quality, that was a great step towards a watch that was (more) wearable and affordable than previous offerings. The Tourbillon 24 Seconds Vision was received so positively that it took top prize at the 2015 Grand Prix of Horology. 1 OF 11 Signature 1 is Greubel Forsey's first watch with just hours, minutes, and seconds. At SIHH 2016, Greubel Forsey took things even further by introd
SD43 owners - bought it sight unseen?
I've visited all my local ADs with the goal of trying on an SD43. All have given me the same story: It's OOS, any pieces coming in have already been spoken for and will not be displayed. At least 1-2 year wait to even see one. I put myself on their lists FWIW.Anyone bought one just based on internet pics?

It has the previous owners name on the card.If I need to send it in for any issues, will I have a problem since my name isn't on the card?Appreciate your responsesThanksAndre Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
