Zannetti Squelette XL Automatic Watch Available On James List
Here is one of those interesting watches that you'll dare not see being sold in America - at least most likely not. Which prompts me to remark once again, that there are many a splendid brand of timepiece that are simply not marketed or sold here in the States. So this is a watch by Zannetti, and determined Italian watch brand that I've spoken about before. This watch is the Squelette XL Automatic, and offers a nice set of easy to live with features. I like that, because it is an obviously avant garde watch, but you don't need to worry much about it being hard to live with. The movement is an ETA 2892-A2 that has need skeletonized and blued (via PVD). There are also some engraved decorations on the bridges. It is a nicely done movement for those who can really get into a skeletonized dial - and in this case a totally non-existent dial. RO chrono Or WG Sub
I have a special birthday coming up (30) and I'm looking for a timeless piece that will age well, the main contenders are the WG Sub and the Royal Oak Chrono 41mm steel 26320 with white dialI love both pieces and hope to one day own both - although for now I'm leaning towards the API have a few special pieces (ROO & RG SkyDweller) but I'm looking for something semi-discreet that can be worn in meetings. It must also be a piece that will not date as I will keep it foreverI have also considered the IWC Porto perpetual but it may be too similar a style of occasion watch to the SkyDAny help or thoughts would be appreciated!
Battery died
I noticed over the weekend my emergency is in need of a battery replacement.. so my question is1 - do I ship it to breitling myself or bring it to a local AD and have them ship it ?2 - any idea how much this will cost ? I have heard prices between $400 - $12003 - any issues or tips if I am shipping it myself ? like how much should I insure it for ?4 - and if I do ship it in ? do they just change batteries or change gaskets and give it some kind of overhaul ?
