Watches NEWS
Las Vegas
Had a great time in Vegas this past holiday weekend!Got to visit the AP boutiqueThey had recently sold their blue 15400 and ROC, but the black dial watches looked and felt great on my wristThe 44mm RG has so much wrist presence (and heft)! The 44mm ceramic is very shinyOne customer was wearing a blue dial RB, another a 44mm forged carbon, and 3 women were looking at gold/diamond models, and I think purchased at least oneAlso visited the RM boutique, but no pics allowedThe Black Phantom 011 is very coolThe watch stores in the Wynn and Palazzo also had great eye candyWanted to see the new IWC Timezoner chronograph, but not yet availableHowever, didn't see any interesting watches in the wild, not even at the higher limit tables
Omega X-33 GEN 2. (is it a good time to sell)
Hi all, Looking for some advice I bought an Omega X-33 Gen 2 some years back for about 700USD.. Box, Maunal, watch (non metal strap)... watch is like 8 out of 10... Is the price of this watch likely to go up as a collectors item or should I just sell it now? Im in no big rush but dont use it all any more. Thanks!
Does this sound right?
Hello all first time poster I hang back in the weeds reading all the good information. I recently purchased a watch for my Dad and had to order it through Omega not a problem was told 4 weeks all good. Fast forward 5 weeks later the Omega rep is telling us now that it will be another 4 weeks but a shipment is coming from the factory in a week. However they can't or won't tell us if the watch is going to be included in the shipment. Huh? I feel like I'm on an island here maybe this is common or I'm just being a jerk customer? If anyone has had any experience like this help me not feel like Omega is putting the screws to me, lol. Thanks this board is amazing great info and great folks. BTW two Omega's in the collection 1966 Connie Pie Pan and a 40th Anniversay Bond watch.
Afraid the Aquanaut is a little too big on me - Opinions? (PICS)
I finally got to try her in the flesh.A beautiful piece but I can't help but feel that the Aquanaut is on the large side for my 6 wrists. The 5167 is the one I actually am looking for. Stainless steel with the rubber strap, however these were the only ones available at my local AD, and I got an idea on how it will wear.I love it but can't help but feel it wears large on my wrists. What do you think?
Planned Maui vacation, unplanned first Rolex purchase
A luxury vacation in Maui last week delivered all the sun, beach, and 'chill' one expects when committing to an expensive but well worth the money Hawaiian respite. Fair to say that some basic shopping is expected also right? How about an impulsive purchase that doubles the actual dollars spent to take the vacation? If you have been to Maui, you have probably been to Whalers Village, and noticed some high end shops there. I noticed the Rolex dealer after several Mai Tai cocktails at Lielanis's On The Beach happy hour. I innocently went up the stairs toward the men's room on the shops level and noticed the Rolex dealer. I didn't exactly stumble in, but I did have lots of rummy courage when I told the salesman to make me a deal and I would walk out with a new Submariner. He did and I did. I walked in with a 23 year old Sea Master chrono I bought pre-owned for $1500 in 1996. I paid full $7500 retail for the Sub No Date (an AD has to sell Rolex at full retail right? Not sure if this is
