What John Goldberger is is a true horological scholar and serious collector of the highest order. His name in the world of watches is synonymous with expertise, quality, discretion, and taste. He is perhaps best known to watch lovers as the author of not only 100 Superlative Rolex Watches and Patek Philippe Steel Watches, but also books about early Omega and Longines. Goldberger didn't just write these books, either. He photographed, designed, and produced them too. New vs Vintage Speedy
Are there any differences, aside from the movement c321 to c1861, between the speedmaster that landed on the moon and the modern 3570.50.00? I'm talking aesthetics like in size, dimensions, material, weight, lettering placement on the dial, etc... Just curious, besides patina how can one tell from a picture between vintage and modern?

My new watch itch is slowly but surely coming back. This pair is about the only watches that really caught my attention in Patek's 2016 baselworld release. Curious to know what's your pick?Cream / white dial or Black dial? Have yet to seen it irl of course but live videos and pics on various watch blogs and IG is looking promising.

My Wife's new addition
After spending most of January looking for a new addition to our collection she picked a Wonderful 31 Oyster perpetual with a lovely Silver Dial.Our local AD which we have known for sometime in Canterbury treated us to a bottle of Champagne with a few added extras..After the wife spent a short time admiring our new purchase while I popped over to have a look at the wolf winders..I pop back to the desk to take a few photos and totally unaware there's something not quite right..The wife is looking the other way trying so hard not to give the game away..trying hard not to laugh..Still totally unaware of what my wife and staff had done... Rotten lot well I really need glasses...
