With just 40 pieces to be available, expect a small fraction of that number to find their way into the United States. It was the Royal Oak Skeleton watch that I discussed hands-on here. A very cool watch, the Royal Oak Skeleton was offered in steel and rose gold. It was highly esteemed and hard to get. I have a Double Eagle Constellation 18K/SS bought in 2008. It's been discontinued as you may know. An AD told me today that a current new similiar watch now retails for 8K! Can this be true? Same 2500 co-axial movement, looks the same....What am I missing?

Hi All! Due to changing out from another hobby and some very enthusiastic friends, I've been lurking for the last 2 months to get into watches. Tried to start conservative with a max budget of $500, then $800, then $1000, then $1500 -- the more I read, the worse it got!After trying on several Seikos at a local department store to get a feel for size and style, and I realized I would be unhappy going through starter watches and having to upgrade.Thanks all for the great forum and load of information. Already considering my 2nd watch need and looking forward to when I'm ready to pull the trigger on a Rolex!In case a newcomer like me can help anyone, that's a Corsair MM300 extended mouse pad (36 wide x 12 tall) in the pic. I've been using that product for quite a while and can already tell it will serve perfectly to help desk diving scratches.
