Citizen Extends USTA Partnership Through 2015
The United States Tennis Association has announced a multi-year extension of their long-standing marketing partnership with Citizen Watch Company. With the current partnership agreement set to expire following the 2010 U.S. Open, this new five-year extension will keep Citizen in place as a USTA Corporate Champion and as the Official Timekeeper of the U.S. Open through the 2015 event. Citizen has been a partner of the USTA and the U.S. Open since 1993. In addition to extending the current partnership agreement for the U.S. Open, Citizen will become an Official Sponsor and the Exclusive Timekeeper of the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters & Women's Open tournament, beginning in 2011. Citizen will also maintain its position as an Official Sponsor of Arthur Ashe Kids' Day, the interactive tennis and entertainment festival that serves as the unofficial kick-off of America's Grand Slam. Citizen is one of our longest-standing partners and it is a testament to the power of the
Temption Cameo and Fortis Square Watches - Square Off
Temption and Fortis are two admirable watch makers who share nary a sneer or historic competition.? Interestingly, they now have what I consider to be closely matched competing watches with the new Temption Cameo and the Fortis Square. Through what I believe might be no fault of either company, a battle between these watches now ensues for a leader of this micro niche (or maybe I am just egging on a fight). Each primarily arrives with dark brown leather straps, and have dark against white colored faces. Each has a shaped rear on the watch case to better fit to your wrist. Each contains a Swiss ETA automatic mechanical movement with a sapphire crystal caseback window (an ETA 2892-2 in the Cameo, and an ETA 2836-2 in the Square, though a chro
Talking Watches: With Eric Singer
When you walk into Eric Singer's Hollywood home, you know right away that he's a watch guy. Immediately you see LeCoultre travel clocks and Heuer race timers on his shelves, Lange and Vacheron catalogs scattered across his tables. You also see gold and platinum records on the wall. Eric Singer has appeared on over 75 albums over the past 20 years, playing drums with the likes of Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, and Queen guitarist Brian May, before officially joining KISS full-time. Now, Singer spends his time traveling the world playing for thousands of fans, but wherever he goes, and whatever he does, he always keeps an eye out for a great watch. 1 OF 42 In episode five of Talking Watches, we look at just a small sampling (and I mean very small) of this musician's personal watch collection. Included are the watches that we think mean the most to him because they were purchased to celebrate something – a life accomplishment. Eric Singer is a watch guy in th
