Watches NEWS
I found the hidden Ω symbol......
I got a great deal today from Pete17 (who by the way is a class guy) in buying his Speedmaster.Anyway I thought the watch was worthy of a look through my Loupe to check out the dial up close.Low and behold I found this mark. At first I thought it was a hair on the hands.......then upon closer inspection I found................What did I find????

Omega Speedmaster Professional 50th Anniversary LE
Yesterday evening I received a call from my AD informing me of the arrival of the Omega Speedmaster 50th Anniversary LE. I paid him a visit, took a look at the watch, out came my wallet, and now I am a proud owner of this admirable timepiece from Omega with a distinguished history. This is the all steel version with the traditional 1861 movement. I chose this because the 1861 movement is descended from the original Speedy movement which actually went into outer space. The other pricier versions had the new 3201 co-axial manual wind movement which is totally unrelated to the original Speedy Pro. Also I did not like the sapphire sandwich case of the other versions.I'll be posting more pics later at the watch gallery section.
Eta Blackbay Noir rare???
Hi all! Was wondering what you guys think of the scarcity of this model? I heard the strap version is even more rare than the bracelet?! Lots of speculation on value down the road. What are everyone's thoughts? Thanks!
Rolex Daytona - Correct Winder Direction for 4130 Movement
I realize that my Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116523 with in-house 4130 movement has an exceptional power reserve at 72 hours, and no date function; however, I still like to keep it on a watch winder when not being worn. The issue is this: I want to be certain that I am setting the wind-cycle to the correct direction (i.e. CCW, CW or bi-directional) for this particular movement. The Orbita Winder database indicates the required winding direction for the 4130 movement, as CW. Posts on various watch forums indicate that for the 4130 movement, winders can be set bi-directionally. In fact, some forum posts indicate that the Orbita database is plainly wrong in stating the required setting for the 4130 as CW. The conflicting information is confusing, and I suspect that it does indeed matter what direction is selected for the winding cycle for a particular movement. I would normally communicate on the subject directly with the movement source i.e. Rolex; however, there is no contact feature at R
